I needed to vent somewhere so here I Go.

I was posting to one of the social groups and my hub was like, they have social groups? They have to sub-divide the forums? And then he went on to discuss how there's no studies and research about e-liquid and if its so safe why wouldn't I give it to my kids and on and on and on...

Ugh, I don't even HAVE my pv yet! I think he's trying to annoy me SO MUCH that I'll just quit all together.

So thats my rant. I's done.

haha yeah men can be so supportive sometimes...the last thing he should do is nit pick someone hes living with thats trying to quit smoking. Is he a smoker? Sometimes i think they see us get excited about something and for some reason (jealousy?) they have to knock it. I'm sure you will love your pv when you get it, and if i were you i'd tell him everyday a 100 times a day how much i love it. And i'm sure there is things that he does that has not be proven 100% safe. good luck

My wife wouldn't share my enthusiasm when I was researching and shopping around. She smokes and said she didn't want to be addicted to two things at once. The minute I started testing my new PV with her, she changed her tune entirely, does not have 2 addictions but is trying hard to eliminate one with the help of her own PV.

Regardless of whether he smokes or not, I think there's hope he will see all the benefits right away, and see it for what it really is rather than what he assumes right now.

And there may not be a vast study of vapor yet, but there are some, and plenty for the individual ingredients. Add that to all the stories from users as to how it makes them feel after converting, and there's much less argument when you take into consideration the exposures of everything else life throws at you. Compared to what it is replacing, I think it is hands down accepted at this point to be so much of an improvement it's silly.

Just wanted to let ya'll know I got my Vk from V4L! Its kept me analog free for 31 hours already! It was a squirrely first thing in the morning but it got easier throughout the day. I'm happy!

So happy for you!! isn't it amazing how easy it is ? and now you'll need to try out tons of flavors..

So...here I am a full 48 hours out from my last analog. This is so easy it seems like cheating.

BUT! I got accused of being crabby and I had a little headache early this morning. I think maybe the nic level is a bit low for me. It seems like I have to vape a lot more than I smoked analogs. But, I haven't had a craving at all today!

Is it cheating? I'm kinda not looking forward to trying to quit nic all together...

Make sure you're drinking plenty of water - vaping will dehydrate you. That, and you probably should be drinking more water anyway. That should help with the headache.

And no, you're not cheating. So, you get nicotine - you would with the patch, the gum, the lozenge... I didn't do this to quit nicotine but the other 4000 some odd chemicals, the tar, the carbon monoxide...

BTW, be sure to come over to the V4L sub forum and say "hi". We got a good group of folks over there. Vapor4Life - E-Cigarette Forum

Not cheating at all if you consider all the tar and chemicals you're no longer taking in. You're addicted to the act of smoking and yes you are fooling your addiction into thinking you're still smoking, but in fact you are not. Maybe you feel guilty because you think you should quit completely, if you can quit cold-turkey then, by all means, more power to you. If you're incapable of that then just use the PV instead of a smoke, you're doing yourself and everyone around you a huge favor that way. Some people fail 'cold-turkey' and end up smoking their lives away and possibly taking others with them. If I have to cheat or fool myself to avoid that, I will.

As to the water bit, I'm a massage therapist, drinking water is like religion. Always got a big glass around. But I have noticed the dryness.

I also notice I am a weird combination of tired and energetic. As if I have more energy, I want to get up and do things, but I'm sleepy, like I haven't been sleeping well and I'm finally catching up. I find that interesting since I used to have an analog to help me get to sleep...

Here I sit, havin' a beer, I took myself outside and put a timer on so I didn't over-do the vaping. My sister has already burned through one whole cartomizer, mine wasn't empty yet but I really wanted to try the clove so I reloaded it with about half a condom of clove juice! Maybe tomorrow or later tonight I can get to that. I had a rough craving after dinner, its still with me even though I vaped for about 10 mins.

One of the reasons I went to PV is because I LIKED smoking. I didn't like anything that went with it though! The smelliness, the lack of energy, but I loved the smoke itself and holding it in my hand and what not. Anyway thats where things sit tonight. I'm gonna go check out the V4L forum. See whats up with that. :D

Hello,
Only been at this myself for a few weeks, but was a "guest" to this forum for a month
before buying my Ego...Loved it,,,smoked for over 25 years and had not a analog since
Feb 11, 2010...for me that is fantastic...Also, loved the smoke after I inhaled...so based
on this forum, I ordered and am now using VG juice...it is great for what "I" need...and that is the big thing...It is what "I" need, not anyone else, even my wife who still smokes...
Later,
PaulCincy...

Yes, you would think he would support the effort, right? But he's totally convinced I've just traded one addiction for another. And its pretty hard to live with someone you love, when they bother you for months to quit and then don't support you when you do something towards quitting.

I can't wait till tomorrow. He hasn't yet seen the pv working, he's only read a tiny bit of the forum and he refuses to let me in the house with it. Tomorrow is bowling...and he thinks I'm going to break down and want an analog. And if I do, so be it, but the way this is going I just don't see it happening. Especially after I mixed the clove and mint from V4L...that is just...wow.

I vaped myself into a bit of a buzz this afternoon. Hadn't done that yet...was sitting around the totally empty office, surfing the forums, vaping...had an hour to wait...yeah. The clove/mint is heavenly. I need some 0mg juice so this doesn't happen again! I made it through the last client I had but man...not good!

oh yeah i remember the buzz....i spent my first 2 weeks vaping speed talking. haha.. and yeah he is right, we have switched addictions but this has to be the better of the 2. Maybe he'll come around in time when he sees that you are serious about this. The best thing about the pv is that you can either show it off at the bowling alley or you can quietly go vape in the bathroom and no one will ever know...good luck
