Greetings, Monsieur Pailpoe..
Like most (if not everybody) who've come across this thread or any picture/video of yours about the ULRA mod(s) I am completely blown away. Congratulations, please keep posting any and all updates you can (as well as new ideas, something you seem to have a good supply of).
I really think you should seriously consider taking your design(s) to market and plan accordingly. From a quick read of the french forum (my french is very limited, but I can pick up the general idea most of the time) as well as this thread (and ECF users' mentality in general) I have no doubt the demand would be high for your mods, especially if you price them well (for both you and all potential customers)..
You could make yourself a pretty good profit off of something you clearly enjoy creating, assuming your life and work allow you the time for it and you don't mind doing a bit of "mass production" every now and then.. No pressure, though, totally up to you! (Don't want another Caesar-esque meltdown)
Though I
do want one and will be looking out for if/when you make these available for purchase, I'm content with watching your mods and ideas take form.. If you end up deciding not to sell them (too much hassle/work or something), that's too bad, just letting you know you have yet another potential customer here should you decide to sell them.
Now, like I said above, my french is very rusty and the original french thread is gigantic at this point, so I confess I didn't read it.. But I did read all of
this thread and would like to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind:
Regarding the atomizer, the components around it and their maintenance in general:
1 - do you have any idea of just how durable your atomizer design is? if all goes well (no heavy falls that break something, etc) how long do you think it will last before needing replacing?
2 - since your design includes a juice tank, how hard is it to disassemble the top part and clean it? how often do you think you'd need to do it?
3 - I don't know if you use more than one ejuice or always vape the same, but I'm guessing this is something a lot of people would like to know.. Is it hard to change ejuices in the tank? In your experience, assuming the juice in the tank has run out, and you fill it with a different ejuice, how long does it take for the 1st juice's flavour to vanish? Or do you think one should disassemble and clean the whole thing when changing ejuices?
4 - again, from your experience with the mod, what kind of maintenance (and how often) does one need to do to keep the unit functioning perfectly? (for example, should you disassemble and clean the tank/atomizer part once a week; do you have to pay attention so that liquid doesn't leak and build up in the battery compartment or PCB components?; etc)
A couple of questions more, if you please..
5 - about that wire again (1).. someone asked but apparently "got it" later. I'm afraid I'm a bit more "thick"

What is that, what does it do?
6 - about that hole (2).. I assume that's where you later install the atomizer "pipe", right? It usually stands out longer when you don't have the acrylic installed (many of your videos don't), it's where the vapor comes out.. It's a bit shorter when the unit is fully assembled, correct? When you're doing those videos showing the atomizer and the tank is empty (the acrylic exterior isn't installed), do you drip the juice into that "pipe"? is the pipe aligned with the drip tip when the unit is fully assembled? -- can you drip into the atomizer when the unit is fully assembled? or when it's fully assembled, do you have to run "off the tank" at all times? (I ask because I recall seeing you fill the tank with a needle in one video .. a needle isn't something I carry with me at all times, so if the tank runs out and I need a needle to fill it, having dripping as an option would be nice, do you see what I mean?)
7 - if you do end up selling these as a DIY kit, I get the feeling we'll get the PCB in one piece (like shown in the first picture when you got them, before cutting and assembling in that "T" formation) and components and will have to solder the components ourselves.. Correct? Main question here is knowing if we'll need to program the controller too (in this case I suppose you'll make the code available)? Or, assuming you do go ahead and sell the mod as DIY kit, will you assemble the components and program the IC for us?
Last question, thanks for your patience:
In this picture we see the top (PCB section, tank section, atomizer section, drip tip) and bottom (battery compartment) parts of the full mod, correct?
8 - I can't see any threads on the top and bottom sections that connect.. To put another way, your design doesn't seem to be of the "screw to assemble" variety. But I can't see anything else in that picture that explains how both parts remain connected.. What locking mechanism holds the battery compartment connected to the rest of the unit?
If you can't be bothered to answer any or all of my questions, it's ok, I know I'm a pain in the behind and tend to write
way too much.. But I'd greatly appreciate any time and patience you might waste with me to reply.
Congrats, once again. I'll look forward to hearing from you (especially if it's to say "pre-order list OPEN"

).
