Me= new, yes, but been at this long enough to know now that I love my 510 5V USB PT. Combined with the cartridge spring mod to keep that juice on the atty, I am nearing vaping nirvana, without going to my next venture with a juicebox of some type. If I could get my hands on a 5V Mahmba, you bet I'd do it in a minute.

In the meantime, searching for the smallest, longest lasting, portable battery pack that could power a 510 5v PT has become a bit of an obsession with me- in addition to checking out all the great mods people are doing. We can use the PT at the puter, in the car with the right 2 mA adapter, or from a wall outlet. But what I am envisioning is a clip on battery pack you can simply plug the 5 V PT into- so you can get that killer vaping anywhere, anytime- with some serious battery life of several days or more.
We know we need a good ~1.5 mA of current output to make the 5v PT work, but the typical problem we run in to is most portable batteries are rated below that amperage.
Well, so check this out, and look what the cat dragged in:
I can't post links yet (only have 6 posts with this one), but I found a real nice looking battery pack with the following specs:
4200 mAh Lithium-polymer cell
5.0 - 5.5 V output
1.8 mA output max <--- key spec (covers and exceeds 1.5 mA needed by 5V PT)
size: 100 x 60 x 15 mm (keep in mind that's only a mere 3.5" L x 2" W x 1/4" D!- in other words, quite small! Imagine a 1/4" thick standard business card.)
USB output port
And it includes a wall and car charger, along with 1 year warranty. Battery and Device Protection? Yup, totally integrated.
How much is it? Not sure, but probably in the 50 to 80 dollar price range, maybe a touch cheaper. The catch? Made in China, and minimum order 10 pieces.
MODS NEEDED: Minimal to none.
Except maybe the addition of a belt clip and my latest favorite: velcro
Velcro? Yeah. It's working great to keep my PT wherever, and however I want it (namely, in a vertical position with the wire at the bottom- gravity helps keep the juice flowing downward on the atty) Just attach a ring or two of the soft, felty part around your PT below the button, and then attach a little strip of the velcro counterpart anywhere you want to around your puter, home, car, etc. Bingo- instant PT hanging and detachment. I found a great spot on my nice office leather chair, so my PT is just 8" or so away, and stored perfectly in a vertical position.

But back to this battery pack, the vision here is to get one of these things, attach a clip and a piece of velcro to it, and now you'd have just about the longest lasting battery possible, a portable 5V PT solution, and a place to hang the PT right on the pack when not in use.

Another idea of course would be to combine this with a juciebox of some kind, which could now be made smaller because the battery part would be taken care of. In fact a simple addition of a USB or mini USB plug on a juicebox could allow access to this batt pack.
So, here's the deal: I don't particularly want to spend hundreds of dollars to get 10 of these things on minimum order. But I might be willing to spend a hundred or so on two of them. With just another 4 people willing to do the same, we could pool our money and get the minimum order of 10. Or 10 people willing to buy 1 each. Anyone interested, I guess pm me or post your thoughts. You find an American supplier of this product? POST IT PLEASE. I haven't seen anywhere I can get this yet other than the link I have, and it took two weeks of searching before I even found the unit itself. But it seems perfect!
