i get the same problem every few days. have you cleaned your atty? swapped them out? it's an odd one to try and resolve i think. prime example: before i went to bed last night, my pv just wasn't doing it for me. i gave up and decided i'd put a clean atty on in the morning. upon waking this morning, i forgot to do so... just picked up my pv and started vaping.... wow! just perfect in every way! this lasted until well after lunch, when i changed my atty and things have just been ho-hum ever since.
so, i have no answers, just the same frustrations as yourself.

You didn't say what kind of ecig, so it's hard to be specific, but your problem is most likely with the cartridge. The liquid in the cartridge wicks to the atomizer with capillary action, and there's a lot that can go wrong with that. The thicker the liquid (lots of VG) the slower it will wick from the cartridge to the atomizer. And if you take drags off your ecig quickly one after the other, the cartridge can't keep up with supplying the atomizer with enough liquid.

The key if finding the best method based on your ecig and the liquid you use with it. Some people resort to directly dripping so that they have full control and don't depend on the cartridge to feed liquid to the atomizer. Others make modifications to the cart, mostly by using a different type of filler material. You can find a lot of ideas to try here:

I've had that problem with my 510 atties. I'm not sure what it is, but sometimes it will burn the hell out of my throat. I figured the atty was going bad (tried blowing out, cleaning, etc). I also noticed that the fake 510 atties are less consistent than the true 510s.

I recently switched to a 901 atty and haven't had any problems, yet. What I find strange is, the SLB 510s are very similar to the 901s, but they have been very inconsistent for me. Sometimes i will get a nice drag, other times it's almost nothing but air.

If you are using the SLB 510s, this might be your problem. I know for a fact that cignot.com sells true 510s and thats the only place I will buy them now.

I am finding after a few months with my second brand of e-cig that either I get no good hit, or I get a good one, but it makes me cough! I can't get it to work correctly.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Don't know if it is a issue with certain models or not - since I haven't been vaping long enough to find out - but I can say that I learned early on that the atty must stay wet or I would get hits that "burned" with a nasty taste - I figured it was actually toasting the crud that builds on the atty.... I assume that is what people refer to when they talk about not using a device when the atty is dry.

I simply got in the habit of dripping a bit on the atty before I vape if the device has sat for more than an hour or so... but I'm not sure if you are saying this happens all of the time or just every now and again. Can you clarify?

What are the e-cigs that you are using?

I work with the assumption,,,if it is working great,,,don't mess with it...I use to change out my attys during the day to give them a break and to drain any excess juice out of them,,,stop the flooding problem,,,but, the second atty I put use for some reason or another never worked as good as the one that I was already using...So,,,now I use the same atty everyday, only take it out and sit overnight on end with a paper towel...Once I can tell it isn't working as good, then it is time for a fast cleaning and use another one for the next few days or week...Just the way I do it....Enjoy...

I had problems at first. This is how I solved them.

Sticking to 18+ Mg nicotine.
Direct Dripping. I just use an empty cart that's well chewed on.
USB Passthrough. I can't recommend them enough.

I use a RN4081. I seem to burn through about 1 atty per month but I abuse the crap out of them :D

Wow, I always have the issue of my empty 510 cart falling off... you just solved that for me. I took it out, wiped it off and chewed on it a little and now it fits snug! This forum is the STUFF! :thumb:
