Not getting the nicotine...?

I was about a pack a day smoker before deciding to switch to vape. While I haven't had a cigarette since starting vaping, I don't "feel" that I am getting much of the nicotine. I'm sure I'm getting some since I've been able to stop smoking without any withdrawal. But it doesn't seem that I'm able to actually feel the nicotine. With cigarettes I definitely felt the stimulation of the nicotine. With the vape I don't really feel any sort of "buzz". Is this normal? Do you typically feel the nicotine as you do with cigarettes? I'm using an eGo AIO and a 24mg 50/50 VG/PG mix. If you should feel it, would it be my vape, poor juice, or am I doing it wrong?! When I first started I was just pulling directly into my lungs. Recently I have been doing more of a tongue pull and inhale. I seem to get more vapor with this method, but still, don't really seem to feel the nicotine. I would think with a 24 I would get something! Any advice or comment?
I have not personally tried nicotine salts myself, however I have read positive reviews on getting that "feeling" you are looking for in regards to vaping. Now keep in mind, nicotine salts are typically used in pod type systems BUT can be used in a non sub-ohm tank with an atomizer higher then 1.0. I'm not sure if the AIO has higher atomizers I, personally have an AIO, and I myself seemed unsatisfied with vaping with that particular device. I am a seasoned vaporer as I have been vaping for 7 years but maybe see if you can get higher ohm atomizers for it and give nicotine salts a try.

If regular nic alone isn't doing "it" for you try a mixture of regular nic, WTA, and Salts. That is what I had to do for the wife.

Essentially up to 6mg nic divide your "dose" by 2 and get half the nic from freebase (regular) nic and half from WTA. For any amount over 6mg handle the first 6 as above but get the rest from salts. So if you want 12mg you would want 3 from freebase, 3 from WTA, and 6 from Salts. This provides a good but not overwhelming TH, and pretty much all forms of nicotine and the rest of the alkaloids. If TH is too much you could drop to 2mg freebase, 2 WTA and the rest Salts.

Being able to stop smoking without cravings shows that you are getting the nicotine. 24mg juice was plenty enough for me to give up the smokes. As others said, cigarettes companies use additives to free base the nicotine and give you the rush and a feeling of satisfaction. Vaping is more like taking nicotine tablets. You get the nic, but not the sense of immediate satisfaction that smoking provides. What you get from vaping is the nicotine replacement along with the hand to mouth simulation of smoking and that's really what the addiction is all about. Smoking is a relaxing activity.
