Gotta love kids. Also, solution to coffee thing is get a keurig. Hubby used to leave me with half a cup so I bought one, now he has the whole huge pot to himself for his thermos and I just make mine as needed

I always thought about getting a Keurig. They are pretty expensive aren't they? Do you know if they make those little cup things with Dunkin Doughnuts coffee?

there are Dunkin donuts K-cups, but you can only get them at Dunkin Donuts. they dont sell through any supplier. Green Mountain coffee owns Keurig so you get their entire selection of coffees, as well as about 10 other brands. all-in-all, about 400+ different varieties.

also, you can get your own coffee, and a re-usable k-cup if you have a local supplier you really like.

Mine was around $70 with kohls coupons. And yes there are dunkin donuts k cups :p

I also have a reusable cup you can fill with your own coffee so you don't always have to use their cups if you don't want to or to save money. Honestly don't use it much, coffee and vaping are my guilty pleasures I don't cheap out on. I never buy anything else for myself so I splurge there

Actually..I love this idea and should get this Keurig thing. I love to try flavored coffees but don't wanna make a whole pot if it tastes like crap.

I need to start looking for coupons then. Did you buy the reusable cup separate or does it come with it? I only have used this Keurig once at a doctors office and managed to screw up my first cup I brewed cuz I think I put too little water in it and it came out like a quadruple espresso. The lady at the front desk was cracking up.

Reusable cup was separate, $5-6 I think. The bigger systems you fill a tank with water and it pulls what it needs to make the cup size you select. Mine only has 3 options

I don't believe anything the weather men say anymore. Wish I got paid a couple hundred thou a year to be wrong more often than not. Actually I'd probably be right more than they are, they need someone with metal in their body up there predicting

They say snow for tomorrow and I'm just hoping they're wrong.

the re-usable cups are separate. but you can find them almost anywhere or get them from keurig. the patent on k-cups ran out about 2 years ago so a lot of third party suppliers have jumped into the mix. that's why keurig made the Vue system, to try and re-establish some market dominance. but k-cups are the king. you can get almost any type of coffee in k-cups from a lot of different vendors.

i certainly prefer the ones that have tanks or reservoirs. that way you just pick the size of the cup you want and hit a button and its done.

My mom has a Keurig... I would never own one. It isn't really the pot that is spendy, it is feeding it with all those pods. The little fill them yerself pods are a good idea but piddly and you have to clean it out after each use and you really shouldn't run the grounds down the sink and whacking it on the side of the garbage can is just germy to me. I belong to Costco and order pods for mom.. they like the Pacific Bold and I think they are like $85 for 200 pods. That tends to last them about a month unless they have company.

YES... it is morning and I am still a grouchy bear

As long as you remember to fill the reservoir.

Timothy's Winter Carnival K-cups, bestest coffee flavor EVAR! too bad it's only seasonal.

although lately i've been mightily impressed with Classic Cinnamon Roll Coffee - Keurig.com

oh, and it turns out that Dunkin Donuts is now available through Keurig and Green Mountain coffee, no need to go to a store to get them. yay!

well, it's clear, so you can see how much is left. even if you forget, the machine will stop and it just holds water, so just pour some in to continue. i have a filter kit and use filtered water from a pitcher. makes a huge difference with teas.

Yes but when it is being used by an 80 yr old and a 99 yr old it can be an adventure. There one tea is really good but pops always sucks up all the pods so I am left without. I have a spring here and then it is filtered downstairs and then a Brita filter on the tap and also have a 5 gal bottled water thing that does hot water. I do loose teas mostly and the dispenser works best for me.

Keurig's idea of a cup of coffee and my idea of a cup of coffee are 2 diff things. My cup holds 18 oz which means either a partial cup or use a pod twice and get weak stuff 2nd time around or use 2 pods per cup and I generally drink about 2 pots of coffee a day

I woke up feeling great. It took all of thirty minutes to end up permanently annoyed for the day. The kid was acting out because I said no M&Ms for breakfast. The school changed the 1 hour delay in to a 2 hour delay, and then a 3 hour delay. The wife was complaining about how I never leave enough coffee in the coffee pot if I get there first. Then the kid flipped out over not being able to go out with the dog. It turned in to a full tantrum. That lead to the loss of tv and dance class tonight. Then the dog went and peed in my office after she had went outside for about ten minutes.

Can I go back to bed now?

I'm really sorry to laugh but it makes me feel good knowing I'm not the only one who has had days like that!! :)
