BTW great heads up on the Xwick.. good stuff I am still playing with the Dirty(Loose coils) but i am getting the hang of it. and you were right i should've ordered more than a foot..lol
It's a great combo my favorite build is a loose warp coil with xWick in Chalice. I've got one going that is over 4 months old
I have been reading the Chalice thread and seeing all of the anticipation for the next release. I too was sold on the bf odin but now I am thinking about trying to get the Chalice instead. $160 is pretty expensive compared to the $69. odin but I was curious about what you guys thought was the greater value. Like most of us I am on a budget but should be able to squirrel away the $160. if the Chalice is as great as they sound and the value is there. Thanks for your input.
I recently sold two chalices and got 2 more Odins and a SL / LP / TRA REO grand. Chalices are awesome - until you get spoiled by thick vapor only possible by hot coils, a great atty and mucho air.
I have a Chalice....from way back in the very first run. It's nice...very solid. Very expensive. Unless they're changing the design, it's not made for dual coil. There's that. super_X_drifter (one of my heroes) just sold a Chalice and he now uses only Odins. There's that. He loved the Chalice (pretty sure)......but I'm also pretty sure he loves the Odins even more. I shouldn't be speaking for him....I'm waiting for him to jump into this thread.....he can give you his take on both.
wow... I've always said there's nothing easier than just striking a match and sucking... in the end to be successful at vaping you've got to really want to do it, obviously you don't want to, so do what you want to do. the equipment alone won't do it for you that's for sure. it's ridiculous to say that you can't vape because you can't get an odin, and "ridiculous" is me being kind
Completely different vape that cannot be compared in my opinion. The Chalice is a single coil RBA. So if you want flavor then a Chalice, if you want clouds and big air holes then the Odin.
If on a budget many of the small chambers RBAs can be built to be very close to the Chalice in flavor. Big thing is build quality and It's unique with the center drain hole, side posts and I also love the screws with the way they grab the wire instead of pinching it.

I wouldn't even have a reo were it not for the generosity of keepsmilin'. So I treasure it and it stays at home. I can take a cheap clone rta and cheap mod out and about with me.
In 35 years of smoking I never made it 24 hours without a cig until I started vaping. No way am I going to throw away 4.5 months of being cig free over one atty that costs less than a carton of analogs.

^^^^exactly what Filthy-Beast said....other than build quality (The Chalice is awesome).....the vape (to me) is very similar to what I can get out of an RM2 at a third of the he price. The Chalice is definitely a VERY nice, small-chambered, single-coil atty. I'm glad I own one....but I personally wouldn't buy another because I can get the same vape elsewhere much cheaper. If I wanted to spend the money a new Chalice would cost, I'd buy myself another REO.

HA - something tells me you've ruined your chances of a generous act like that. I can't speak for everyone here, but I'd never send you something like an Odin for free. You're not even real - seriously? 
It's important to note our man Super completely changed his vape style going from single coil 1 ohm plus vaping to sub ohm dual coil lung hitting.
