That's not good like 7 10 and 14 year old is bad but I don't understand why there's a problem if they were smoking and got off them with it
Because now the 7 and 10 year old are looking at the 14 year old thinking he is cool. So when does the 10 year old start vaping maybe 12? Then the seven year old start at 9 seeing the other two elders looking cool? Where you draw the line?

OP, where are you from? I know in other parts of the world (I'm in the US) that drinking is legal at a lower age. That being said, any shop in my state is "18 or over", at least that's what it says on every smoke shop door I've ever seen. I wouldn't let anyone take a pull off of mine, not even a family member let alone someone outside my family. This is the exact setup that police use in my area for cigarette or chew stings for underage purchases. Usual results are big fines, and the employee loses their job. You could even lose your license to sell tobacco.

I say keep it away from the kiddies, not just "for the children" but for the vaping community in general. It would be a great thing for alarmists to say "Look, they ARE trying to get our children hooked!".

The us and I gusse I do need to start thinking about that but I don't know why he'd come in there with a mod I'd understand if it was like a ego or something

I reckon it's more often the cool, new thing to do. I don't have an issue with a 16 year old kid who used to smoke vaping but I don't think I could support the same kid if they were just trying to fit in. When I walk into a shop, I'm usually loaded with and puffing on nicotine-bearing juice. I won't use it around my kids and I would certainly walk out the door of any store catering to minors.

I have two daughters, one is 19 the other 17. The oldest smokes, and while I wish I could get her to vape, she is being quite stubborn about it. The 17yo, doesn't do either, but she will come into the vape shop with me. I use her as my sounding board on what it smells like on the exhale, cause I can not smell what she does. I go to vape stores in va, and they know me, they know she is underage, and she isnt one to do anything risky. But I am in agreement that having a minor hang out.in a vape shop, even if he is only hitting 0mg still doesnt make our hobby look good in the eyes of those that want to regulate it like they do tobacco and alcohol.

In certain situations I'm okay with it. I didn't start smoking until I was 19, which is the legal age in NJ (it was 18 until a bill was passed around 05-06' changing the legal age to 19 to try to get cigarettes out of high schools). When I was a smoker, I was never one to give or buy cigarettes to teenagers. If they asked me I would ask for their ID, or just tell them to **** off.
In my local shop, I've seen a parent bring their son in to buy a set up to quit smoking. I'm perfectly fine with that scenario. Also in NYC/Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island, the smoking/vaping age is now 21. Which is absurd. I don't know, I mean, if someone is 18, I generally don't care. NJ & NYC have stupid laws regarding ages.

I really don't have a problem with it. I was sitting in a shop today hanging out and Vaping and a kid walked in couldn't be older than 16 and he Sat beside me and we started talking and he asked if I wanted to try his mod and I did then I asked if he wanted to try mine then he asked what nic level I had and I said 3 and he asked if I minded if he dripped some of his because he drips 0 and I didn't care but I don't see a problem with it it's better then smoking cigarettes and he only drips 0
I support it to an extent. I'm 19 years old. I have been Vaping for 3 years. It got me off cigarettes. I started at 13.

That I'm okay with 100%. Like others have said, if it's a choice between cigarettes and vaping, I would rather see a teenager vaping. I had my first cigarette as a pre-teen, and I and my friends were regularly buying cigarettes in high school. I wish vaping had been around then, I might not have spent 30 some years trying to turn my lungs into shoe leather and my cars into rolling ashtrays.

You can't stop underage anything, all you can do it make it harder for them to do.
Fines for any vendor selling to persons under 18 should be huge and three strikes and you're out of business works for me too..not sure how to deal with the internet and age verification though

It's all too easy to take a black and white stance on this issue. Kids are going to get their hands on what they want, legally or otherwise. I drank and smoked underage, and I'm not a rare case.

What truly disturbs me here is the support from the parents and the irresponsibility of the vape shop. Just because a kid is going to find a way doesn't mean anyone should be making it easy for them.

I wish we had a thread outing these unscrupulous vape shops.

I am keeping out of this debate. Except to say that:

While The politicians are using minors starting to vape as an excuse to tax us in to oblivion and regulate us (A money grab is all I suspect), What they fail to mention is that while minors are starting to vape, Minor smoking rates are decreasing.

next thing we will see is kids being refused the ability to purchase ice, plastic cups, coke, etc since those items can be used to create an alcoholic beverage... as long as they cant get the rum, then whats the issue? If they get the hardware and 0nic juice, whats the issue? At least they arent smoking. They allow under 18 to purchase non alcoholic beer where I live.

Because allowing someone to vape something without nicotine, where nicotine usually is, will breed the behavior associated with smoking, and consuming nicotine.

odd how different countries have different laws regarding stuff, for example, in England it is legal to allow kids as young as 5 to consume alcohol at home, in the US its illegal ( contributing to the delinquency of a minor)... what makes the kids so different in England or US that allows this to occur? humans are humans right?
