Somewhere out there
Let's be real. 2 states I know of DC and Illinois have not banned sales of personal vaporizers or ecigs to minors. This may have changed since Feb but I don't think so. There may be more states.

To answer the op, I wouldn't buy anything for anybody I didn't know. As far as zero nic, I think the world has gone stupid on lumping it as a tobacco product.

Illinois does ban sale and use of "alternate nicotine products" to those under 18
Illinois Bans Electronic Cigarettes for Minors | NACS Online – News & Media Center – News Archive and 720 ILCS 675/  Prevention of Tobacco Use by Minors and Sale and Distribution of Tobacco Products Act.

"At least 44 states and 1 territory currently prohibit sales of electronic cigarettes or vaping/alternative tobacco products to minors. " according to

Cherry Crush flavor with nicotine in it - I wouldn't purchase for a minor.

Instead, I'd take a moment to explain that they are clearly being discriminated against and treated as if they are little idiots. I'd encourage them to start a massive social media campaign to overcome this blatant discrimination. I'd also make it a point to call out adults who engage in this sort of discrimination, as I already do.

Maybe I'm reading this all wrong................
Maybe not

I thought perhaps you were referring to them taking a more mature approach the what they perceive as being their fair right.............. but then you went off the reservation.
A parent still has the responsibility to guide their Children into mature and thoughtful adulthood. Other adults should respect and support such.

You are, if possibly not mature, at least over 18 aren't you? just asking.

No - I do not have their parents permission nor do I know if they have any medical history which may prevent their safe consumption.

As other posters have already said this is nothing NEW... ;)

We all Know that trick from "way back when "....when, as teenagers, we needed cigs, beer, whatever!
Some kids just asked strangers in front of the store, but there was always the option of some 18 yr senior/older Bro/sis who would buy them for the younger kids.

Personnally, I grew up in Midtown Manhattan and ,at sixteen, we all smoked during lunch/recess and school breaks on the sidewalk right in front of our school.None of us had any probs buying cigs from the corner Deli. And all of our weekend "parties " included liquor, each one of us would chip in to bring something and I dont recall ever having much of a prob bringing a bottle of vodka or whatever .I know for sure we didnt ASK our parents to buy it for us lol-they wouldnt have and would have freaked too....

Maybe things have gotten alot stricter now...including age limits,in my day we never really got carded, we took the precaution to send the older looking ones..then again it WAS real easy to buy a fake id around 42nd street and WE all had a spare in our bag just in case, but that was mainly to get into clubs(most didnt ask,but with make up etc we all did look alot older than our age).

Buying Ecigs is probably the same deal for today's kids(and by the way how do they manage to buy their cigs beers, liquor or even drugs...???)

Like others though, as an adult I would never take the responsibility for buying anything for a stranger, even less for an underage kid....

Columbus, Ohio
1992-1993, Columbus, Ohio - Give a random customer $2 to go buy a pack of Marlboro Reds, tell him to keep the change when he brought them back.

We did have a time when a guy went in to a store to get our smokes and there was an enforcement agent sitting in an unmarked car. When the guy came out she got out of the car and told him if he gave us the pack he would be in serious trouble. Guy got a free pack of smokes that day.

Personally, I would not do it.

Possibly.

It's weird, cause I think of the discrimination at work as sign of a highly immature species.
