Hey guys. Something odd happened to me today. I received a small package in the mail that contained an e-cig starter kit. It comes in what looks like a pack of cigarettes and has "AiR" written on the front and "www.acesmoker.com" on the side. The package did not contain any message nor does it give a company name for who sent it to me. All it has is a return address of "2260 South Haven Ave, Unit E Ontario, CA 91761" and an invoice that says the product was $0.00 and cost $9.95 to ship.

I checked out the link on the box and it took me to airsmoker.com which lists this starter kit for sale at $79.95. Why would someone send me a $80 starter kit for free and not tell me why?

I searched Google for the address and found this link about an e-Cig company named Knight Sticks tricking people to buy their goods: Just Got Tricked by Some SNEAKY .......s

Also, my friend told me he was informed that his credit card # was stolen from a company that we both ordered e-Cig parts from a few months ago so that has me even more concerned.

Has anyone heard of this Acesmoker/Airsmoker Air? Has anyone got one for free? What the heck is going on?

You may want to call your credit card company and have them list any charges since your last statement. If there is one you don't recognize there may be some shenanigans going on.

Ditto to that. Also, your credit card company can reissue you credit cards with a different number on them. It's not a bad idea if you have had the same credit card number for a long time.

BTW - Is it a nice e-Cig or a POS mall special?

It turns out someone got my card # and has been using it to order stuff. I spoke with my bank and there are other charges on my account including a purchase of WoW Cataclysm, a Blizzard subscription, and some other things that I didn't order. I guess whoever ordered this AceSmoker ecig forgot to change the shipping address. It may seem kind of random that the person who stole my card # is also using e-cigs but it kind of makes sense since I'm pretty sure my # was stolen from a site I ordered some LR atties from.

:( That sucks, I hope you don't have to cover those costs.

You might be able to track them down by the blizzard account, if they were originally using their real info and then decided to start using your card!

Do what I do. Get a pre-paid VISA from the store. whenever you go to buy something online transfer just enough money to the pre-paid card from your bank to cover the online purchase(s). :2cool:

Could you tell us what site your CC # was stolen from so we don't order from them until they fix their security issues?
