You need a few more posts before you can add an Avatar. Someone will remember. Either 15 or 20 posts. An hour later, or less, you can post an Avatar and Signature Banner. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Won't hurt my feelings.

I have never been into a vape shop, but im starting not to like them. My buddy in L.A. called me up after going into one. He walked into the shop and was asking a lot of questions about the ego he had and the ce4 on top. The guy behind the counter was talking to him about mechs and how "this one is great for beginning". when he told me that part, I almost lost it and urged him not to go back and get it until he at least plays around with vv and educates himself on safety. I found out later that the shop has something to do with the production of this particular mech. he was also telling me about this dripper that the guy recommended, he told me it uses silicone so you dont have to worry about hot spots. I've never heard of this and am wondering if there is such a product out there.

maybe he meant silica wick, which doesn't get hot spots like ss mesh?

While I'm not an expert with batteries and have never used a Vision battery, given that it is VV(assuming I have looked at the right one) I wouldn't be too worried. The battery capacity is, supposedly, 1300mah, which technically means 1300mah for an hour. What the maximum discharge rate might be is a good question, but I suspect it is above what your 1.8 ohm coil is drawing which would be about 2.5 amps assuming a 4.6 volt setting.

awsum140 may have touched on an interesting point regarding the current draw. 1 Amp = 1,000 milliamps.

'If' the Spinners are like some Li-ions I use in mod, they have a safe limit for discharge. In the case of the batteries I am using, they are "2C." The interpretation is that the safe limit is 2 times the ampacity of the battery. In my case, the batteries are 1400 mAH, or 2 x 1400 mAh equates to a 2C value of 2.8 Amps.

In your case, with 1300 mAH, 2.5 Amps as awsum140 illustrated is pretty close to a 2C limit. 'If' they have a 2C rating, 2 x 1300 mAH equates to a 2.6 Amp limit.

Without further explanation from the seller, we don't know what he might be getting at.

Yeah, I asked if he meant silica, but he honestly couldn't remember and continued to call it silicone. still i'm surprised, the guy told him that a specific mech was good for beginning. I tried to give him what knowledge i could in the hour I talked to him, but that's not nearly enough. the guy didn't mention anything about multimeters or proper batteries. I'm glad my friends off the smokes and is getting into vaping, but I dont want him blowing his face off due to bad information, so I told him to join the ecf:p

Very good advice Jp! Dis is de place! I hope I ordered the correct batteries with my new ZMaz. I studied and studied and was still confused. I should have asked on here but I feel kinda dumb for not being able to keep these things straight: protected, unprotected, flat top, button top, Li, LiMn, LiPO4 or 3 or whatever, etc. etc. I do know LiPO? are supposed to be safer but other than that, I just get tied in little knots. I ordered 18650 and have since then read that 18350 is better for some reason. Yep, evod batteries are much simpler.

And the kanger batteries on recall were limited to those sold by HHV, right? Oh hell. To bed, to sleep, perchance to dream of volts, ohms, watts and little electrons floating in the air from anode to cathode. or vicey versey. current is the flow of electrons (negative) but defined as the flow of positive ions. see why I get so confused?

NOT THE BATTERIES FROM HHV!!! I got my initials wrong. The batteries from HHV are just fine. Sorry Adam, I can't believe I did that to a good supplier. It was an honest mistake cause I just "can't remember ....e" and I should never post without checking my information. Please forgive me.

Yeah, unfortunately there's a lot of this going around lately. Many new vapors starting off with mechs, trying sub ohm coils, without knowing anything about the safety aspects.

The B&M guys are all pushing the mechs. Probably a profit margin thing. I know of a lot of vapers from the B&M's that know very little about regulated mods, and I think, very little about mech mods and battery safety. It's a little off putting to me. Everybody wants "clouds."
How do I get clouds? Mech mods and the Nimbus, blowing clouds. Little different on this Forum. Like it here, a lot. Best to you.
