About a month ago, when I first got the Tornado-T, I commented that I was having trouble with proper wicking and the resulting dry taste. I vape VG. After seeing some of the responses, I fiddled around and came up with what seems to be a good fix to the problem. I bought some PG liquid and have discovered that a 80% VG, 20% PG mix (20 drops VG plus 5 drops PG) works very well. I get a good amount of vapor and have not had any problems with dryness. Also, there has been no leakage of any kind that I have noticed. It doesn't quite measure up to direct dripping on a LR atomizer, but it is an acceptable substitute on those occasions when constant dripping just is not possible. I hope they come out with a LR version of the tank atomizer soon. I would really like to give it a try.

I have better luck with my thinner liquid as you said. I like the tank when the liquid properly wicks.

For me its more about viscosity then percentage content of pg/vg. After that its the flavor ingredients that effect my tank performance. Certain juice works better than others and juice high in flavor is required as the tank doesn't bring out taste like a well performing atty.
I'm anxious to try the lower R coil too. Maybe improve taste and wont have to use such strong flavors with it.
Also hope wick placement in the piercing tube is improved so it stays in place better. Might prevent some leaking issues and last longer.

There isn't one YET. But, hopefully there will be soon if the manufacturers read all of the forum comments.

There actually is, someone got there first one in Italy today, they should be hitting stores in the next week from my understanding, I could be wrong, but I'm just going off of what I heard today. It is 1.8 ohm's

Mine was great for one week. I have 2 atty. The leaks started. I have 100%PG, 70%PG-30%VG, 50%PG-50%VG, all leaked. The first time it leaked thru the vent hole when the juice was less than half tank, then I clean the atty with 95% isopropyl alcohol. And it continues till today. So I have to refill every half tank to avoid that. Doh!

TW rhymes with Botally Bick-ed :)
I have to say that shortly after I posted about not using my tank b/c I prefer the LR attys, I toasted my favorite LR atty by leaning my guitar on the switch until it about burned me. My backup failed me, too, so I broke out the tank again. Been using it for 2 or 3 days now, and after some acclimation to the regular atty, I have to say that this thing really rocks! The biggest thing I notice with it is that it is VERY consistent. No matter what I've tried in the past, consistency has been my biggest issue. Mega attys were good, but still not perfect. This thing puffs perfectly to the end. No burnt cotton(or whatever that stuff is in the cart) taste if I accidentally vape it dry.
Yes, and I got the msg about the arrival of the LRs from TW, too. In for 3! I think with an LR atty, this thing won't be beat.
Other impressions: no leakage with mine, taste is a little different, but I'm good with it, and it is consistent, too.

Got my LR attys in last week. Filled the cart up and started vaping. Nothing but burnt taste. Thought it was just the primer crap they like to put on the attys. Vaped for several hours and no change. Tried #2, and it was vaping nice flavor from the start. The 1st wasn't wicking at all.
Anyway, I have to say I love this thing. Nice clouds of vapor and great flavor. I'm hooked...even with one DOA. Haven't tried the 3rd yet. It doesn't last as long as the mega atty/carts, but I love the consistency. It the best system I have tried to date(501 w/ drip tip, blue fish tank filter crap, pyramid tea bags and Tornado w/ mega attys/carts).
Now they just have to make a mega tank, and it will be perfect.

Oh, oh. Me too. I ordered four of them and have tried two. So far, I am less than thrilled. I seem to be getting the dry burned taste as well, no matter what percentage of PG I mix in with the VG. I have a drawer full of all kinds of cartridges, cartomizers, regular, LR, etc., and nothing quite does it like the drip, drip, drip method. Maybe it's just as well. If I were to find a system that worked as well as dripping, I would probably be vaping all day. As of now, I pretty much do it only when I am comfortably seated in front of the TV, where I can drip until my heart is content.

i've had a tank for a little over 2 weeks. Leaking started 2nd day on 100% pg. I ran out of my preferred 100% pg juice (in part because the tank is a juice hog and in part because i must have leaked & blown out about 5 mls or more and in part because i ma bad at planning ahead). Switched to a less favored but decent 70%pg 30% vg mix and got a couple more days out of that atty before it started leaking.

I was thinking it was the cart design (hadn't researched this very well on the forums--now i realize its mostly due to the wicking issues) got three more attys. I tried all three the first day to make sure they weren't DOA. Settled on the one that seemed to vape the best and got about 3-4 days with moderate leakage. Was running a bit low on juice due to an out of stock problem at the vendor and so, ironically, i switched back to dripping in order to not have to use my fall back not too tasty juices.

It's actually not a bad atomizer for dripping since it has a hefty reserve in there and actually can hold as much as an old standard cart filler free. (made my first little mod using the condom to put a drip tip onto the cone) But after about 4 days with that routine (trading around with the other atomizers so i could try out some new flavors once my shipment came in)

today that one gave up the ghost--clogged and burnt taste. Moved on to the next one but it has a lot weaker vape, seems clogged already and also leaks. at $11 an atomizer and almost $1.00 a tank a lot of wasted juice and hassles, i'm quickly losing my enthusiasm. Bought 1 x Black Empty eGo Cartomizer Big Size () = $4.00 filled it with a hypodermic (1.39) and its vaping pretty clean (after an hour--i might get a set of these and see how far the equivalent $20 gets me. I was trying to get away from filler--so far nothing really beats dripping for me

(haven't gotten serious with a mod but it seems to me most of the current generation of problems is in the atomizer designs. The ego bat is plenty powerful for me the 750 pass through is great)

I'm currently debating on whether i should order the LR but given that no one is really even offering a warranty we gotta know they will be short lived.

all in all the tank seems a bit like an old Detroit Cadillac -- a big comfortable ride but poor handling, bad gas mileage, crappy build--no i shouldn't be so harsh...it's actually a good idea just something wrong with the execution or QC. if they cost $5.00 I wouldn't really be sweating tossing one and moving ont a fresh new pair but except for the filler issue they really aren't that much better than cartomizers and are pretty pricey.

that said i still might waste $15 on an LR Tank just for the joy ride...works well when it works especially for driving.

I bought my first set at volconecigs (with coupon code got em for 10.99) so it's conceivable that i will be back once some of these bugs get straightened out and especially if the price drops back to a more industry standard 7.50 or so. but the filler free factor isn't quite enough for such a price premium when the technology really hasn't improved.

BTW I checked with cignot to see if they would carry the LRs. They will be in next week.
(Cignot does offer some sort of warranty on the regulars but vicki says they will only have a DOA warranty on the new LRs because they are "too iffy"

I may be unfortunate but i have read enough similar pposters to know that the problem is widespread but not universal. The best explanation i have received (including from Cignot a well respect supplier) is that the wick inside the puncture tip can be too low or too loose and allow liquid to flow from the tank at too rapid a rate. This floods the atomizer and fills up the little reservoir under the plate. It then leaks slightly at the batter connector but much more importantly the leak is sucked up into the air chambers on the side of the tank and into the mouthpiece tip and then into the mouth...yuck juice in the mouth.
