Hey guys, I'll be using canvape unless I find another low cost Canadian source.

So I found that a lot of people over a game I play "CS:GO" =) talk about mech mods and got into talking with them and most started where I have. Ego-twist and kangers or similar. Now they got my hyped getting mech mods, huge milky clouds on youtube. Omg

I've done a lot of research but can't seem to find out about magnetic switches, why those?

The owner of the website asked me to get magneto tube and igo-w we're hands down the best, I want an opinion not just a sale to get rid of inventory. What do you guys recommend to get from there, from the tube, battery and the tank thing where I can make my own coils.

Also how much juice does one use and how much mg? I'm at 12mg nicotine on kanger protank 3 or any other tank is fairly the same, but not huge vapes so what should I go if I do get a mech mod?

Fasttech is going to be cheaper, but you're going to wait a month for it to arrive.

The Magneto is a fine mech, though it lacks an adjustable 510 pin. I'd personally go for another styled mech clone from fasttech other than a Magneto.

Don't buy your batteries from fasttech or ebay.

I'm not sure about vendors for batteries in Canada, but from the site you linked buy the purple Efest 18650:
Efest IMR18650 30AMP Chemically Safe Li-ion 3.7V 1600mAh

My suggestion would be to browse fasttech, and find some mechs that look appealing to you. Come back to ECF, and perform a search for that model (authentic or clone, doesn't matter) to research the pros and cons. No need to rush into anything. There are tons of existing threads to read and research to come to a decision that makes sense for you.

Thanks! I have nothing but time on my hands until I use up my noob device thats not a mech mod.

So mechs don't really matter, usually the threads your looking for right. I mean its just a metal tube. I really don't know anything about magnetic switches. I'm guessing the ones that don't have it are spring fired which I'm sure can be a pain in the ... where the magnetic one does the job perfectly fine.

I'll go with what looks nice, they all look like a dildo to me but I'll get used to it lol

I used your adviced and canvapes so I'm going with igo-w, resarch clone vs original.

I know this might be off a bit but what nicotine mg are you vaping for a mod compared to a clearomizer? From 12mg clearo to what mech mod mg? I want a nice cloudy throat hit, would 3-4mg be good or too much?

Oh I forgot to ask, I won't need a kick right? I'll start with one coil and go my way to dual coil

AH nice! So does it feel stronger or what, I mean the clouds I'm sure its more than twice as big right. With 0mg with a milky cloud do you feel anything?

Edit: Nemisis looks like the best selling so I'll go with that, are you happy with the clone?

And yeah I ordered alot of stuff from China, it does take a month. At times 2 weeks which is the best thing you'll ever get in life =)

Another edit, too excited: Omega clone has a higher wall, does that mean more juice to fill or it'll gurgle but meant for more wicks instead?

Since you are a noob, I would recommend a good clone first. My best recommendation would be the Hcigar Nemesis. They have silver plated contact pins, which are better conductors.. Also make sure you read up on battery safety when dealing with mechanical mods. Make sure to purchase batteries with a high amp limit. I use the Sony 18650, 30 amp limit. For wick, I recommend organic cotton. For wire, I would recommend 28 guage kanthal. For a dripper, I would recommend a trident clone. For a tank, I would recommend one of the Kayfuns. It's really up to you if you want to buy the originals or clones. But I chose the cheap route and went with the good clones. They look and perform just as well...

Nemesis is a pretty good starter mech mod. You can get magnets for the switch and it will perform much better. You could also look at Stingray which has magnets standard. Like Mike said be sure to be safe. Know your battery limits and find a reputable supplier for them as well as a good charger...nitecore i2/4. Get an ohm meter so you can measure your build. You don't need a kick but it can add safety features for you. For example you shouldn't drain your batteries too low before recharging. A kick will prevent that from happening or you can get a voltmeter to check battery voltage but you will notice a drop off in vapor production as the battery is used. Good luck!

The design of the mech and material used certainly do matter, which is why some "hit harder" than others. Some of the really crappy clones out there can drop as much as a full volt of power which now puts them in dying ego battery territory.

Truth be told though if you are stepping into a mech that drops a lot of voltage even if you are using a higher impedance atty it will still feel like worlds above your avg ego/clearo set up.

My first RBA on a mech clocked at almost 3 ohms and even with low nic/high vg I thought I was going to asphyxiate on a vape cloud.
