My CO is a LDO(limited duty officer) prior enlisted that worked their way up.... no Flag officers in my command.
But the BASE C.O. is a Flag officer. But it hasnt come through those line of communication...
As far as i know they havent gotten anyones e-cig. But when i was told that they wanted them. i SAID: "their not getting anything from me without Cold hard cash in my hand first, i paid for this with MY money" .
Be very careful how you tread with this deal BB. It is very easy to get yourself classified by your peers and those you serve under as a "Sea Lawyer" or a "Snitch" when dealing with this type of situation, and that will follow you and haunt you until you leave the service. Let the scuttlebut die down and see what the truth is. There is no need to stir a hornets nest without need.
nice info to know!!All I have to say is check out the UCMJ on this....go down to jag and ask.... even though your in the military ( jag officer told me this) you still have rights. I have had my share of fun.... They can not take anything personal away from you without reason. and it takes more than an E9 to take it from you at least an 03 and up. Must be signed by your company commander to allow any personal possession to be taken away from any soldier.... I have seen an NCO (E7 SFC) get his ... handed to him by the company commander once for taking away this soldiers TV and civies. And yes in front of everyone (which shouldn't be done either).... A few months later he was shipped out. (overseas somewhere)
LOL, i went to the AF first... But i wasnt anywhere near as much as a super star as i am now ten years ago...My hubby is in the Air Force and he vapes out back of his squadron with all the smokers. He says there are four others that do too and they havent been told they cant use their e-cigs, in fact they get support for quitting analogs (or get laughed at and then support). The only thing was one of the guys was told not to do it in the building anymore because he was being ignorant about it and he had to go out back with the smokers.... no biggie though as that means a break outside. My hubby says you should've joined the AF, jk...
LOL! as in instructer here, I KNOW SEA LAWYERS!!!Be very careful how you tread with this deal BB. I'm going to give it a few days... i am pretty good with the whole chain of command from CO down. ( i have a collateral duty that could get him fired if i dont do it right) so i see him a decent amount of times ... i may bring it up (casually) during our next Top Secret inventory.I dont think I would...smoking is not something you let settles down... its your lungs on the line not theres. not me if they want me to go back to smoking then Ill make sure they get the 2nd hand smoke... Ever heard of the saying Dont Tred ON ME.... of course do this with the utmost respect... dont go ape S*** over this... and do your homework first... dont go crazy on your NCO or CO... not a good thing... but request to speak with your NCO chain of command first then take it higher if need be.
