used my ego batteries before charging it for 8 hours. OK?

there is a chance that you lowered the maximum charge level, but its only a chance, alot of times you will get lucky and nothing will change but make sure to try hard to keep all batteries on until fully charged and try not to charge them before they are drained, both of these can lower full charge potential. even though you may get lucky and have it not effect it, its not really worth the risk. so you should be fine just try not to make a habit of it

Nope, not the case w/ LiIon batts. W/ NiMh or NiCad yes...but LiIons are good to go. They don't suffer from the "Memory" effect that previous rechargables had.
