Okay so which mod should i buy next? Does smok alien can do the job?
And buying mods from aliexpress is trustworthy?
Quick answers to both questions. No.

Avoid SMOK products and avoid AliExpress.

I don't know where you are located, but if in the US, try My Vapor Store.

I've compiled a list of recommended mods and tanks in the blog below:

The short answer? Smok is a vendor that has enjoyed some popularity, but for the most part it doesn't really offer a lot of customer support. I don't know what mod you have that only goes to 25 watts, but are you certain that is the case? I just checked the smok priv specs, and it says it goes to 220 watts (although, you aren't going to find a set of batteries to support that wattage).

So, unless you have something ELSE, either you are using your mod incorrectly, or are in some sort of subsetting, where it's not letting you increase the wattage because you have "accidentally" set your mod to 25 watts on one of the preset menus.

Can you please explain how you got the "25" watt maximum figure? I'm trying to find out if you have the WRONG mod, and you are thinking it's the Gpriv, (which SHOULD be enough watts for your needs) or whether you are simply not clear on how to operate your mod.

Find and watch a video or several on that kit by a reviewer on YouTube. It should help you determine what is going on as well as how to use your equipment correctly.

And, my apologies for just assuming you have a 25 watt mod. You probably don't. Can you explain where and how you got this 25 watt figure?

I've used Fast Tech successfully. When purchasing, just make sure the description says "Authentic" and not "similar to" or "____ like". Fast Tech sells both authentics and off brand clones but they "label" their hardware truthfully.

Find something I recommend in my Good Starter Setup blog. Make sure that the mod and coils in the tank are compatible "power wise". Coils have a recommended power range and should be listed in the specifications like below:

  • 0.15 ohm Dual Ni200 Nickel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 400 to 600 Degrees Fahrenheit (for temp control only)
  • 0.25 ohm Dual Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 80 to 120W
  • 0.5 ohm Dual Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 30 to 80W
  • 1.2 ohm Single Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Coil - 10 to 30W

Okay. The Priv One is NOT the smok G priv. The smok G priv is an entirely different setup, what you've got is some all in one kit, and on the website it states the coils resistance as 0.6. Whether it will have enough "oomph" at that power level, well, it MAY. But, a 0.6 coil is not generally rated as 25--45 watts, although I'm quite sure it's possible that smok rated it that way, if it's used in other devices.

Are you sure that the coil has a recommendation of 25--45 watts? It's also an all in one kit so you are stuck with what smok offers.

I'm going to say that this was a poor choice for a vape setup if you want large clouds and whatnot. That thing looks more like it's smok's version of a small, portable vape. It's not going to give you big clouds, and if you aren't happy with your vape, there is little you can do to change it, it's the nature of those all in one kits.

If the coils genuinely are printed with that type of resistance, you could bring it back. I'd also suggest a longer drip tip, and one that won't heat up. I won an AIO kit and it gave me crazy spitback until it settled down, but I had to modify what few things I could to make it vapable for me.

Also, I now return to the conclusion that your coil is flooded. There isn't much you can do at this point besides vape through it, as it's a kit with top airflow. My (similar but more MTL lower wattage kit) also flooded in a rather nasty way the first time I filled it. I had to vape through it until it settled down.

If you can find a way to return it, do so. If you can't, keep it as your backup vape and get something more suited to your needs. Check out a lot of kits, mods and tanks, and try to figure out (Baditude has given you good info) what your next vaping "step" might be.

I would avoid smok entirely. I don't think, necessarily, that smok's kit pairing is so awful, but it isn't working FOR YOU and that is what matters. I don't like AIO kits because they are somewhat non adjustable. You can do much, much better for a starting vape, but you need to figure out what TYPE of vape you need, and then choose one. I would choose a non-smok setup, personally, but that is up to you.

Best of luck,

Anna

If you look towards the bottom of the page, its also says it can go up to 60 watts. Go figure. That confuses me too. Way to go SMOK. o_O

This is another DIRECT OUTPUT mod... coil resistance will govern wattage output... user cannot choose wattage... what wattage mod will choose for his coil is known probably only to SMOK... when battery will drain this wattage will not be obtainable and smaller wattage will not vaporize all sucked juice... he will be sucking hard pulling too much juice into coil and gurgling and spitting will continue...internal battery on this mod is just 920mAh....even with 25 watt puffs will drain pretty fast... To get rid of spitting first take drip tip out keep your tank upside down and shake it hard to get rid of this extra accumulated juice... let it sit upside down for a while and fully charge your mod... with fully charged mod and couple strong puffs spiting should be gone... for a while... till a time when batterry will drain and will not be able to provide enough power to vaporize sucked liquid...

I’m uk based mate and it’s 18650.uk for your batteries as I’ve found they are brilliant and have been recommended by so many top class vapers and I use and outlet called premier e-cig. I’m in lincoln and our shop on Newark rd is fantastic. The bloke is there knows what he’s on about and will ask a lot of questions before he suggests anything. Never had any problem using them at all. Thanks gooders
