I'm getting my first vape tomorrow, an ego twist with a kanger t3, and was wondering if anyone has used it with the Johnson Creek 'red oak' pg-free juice? I read that the less pg you have the more benefit you would get from removing one of the wicks in the t3 - someone even said I might want to remove both with 0% pg. Should I remove one wick before even filling it up the first time around?

You should always test as is first and adjust as needed.
If it has problems wicking just remove the bottom, rinse, pull the post out and remove 1 wick.
Once assembled again it will take a few draws to evaporate the moisture and saturate the wicks. Then it should be good to go. Repeat with the second flavor wick if needed but remember it could start flooding.

Not all 100% vg is the same viscosity. Many suppliers have their own blending methods that effect the final results.

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for. Noob question, but can I just rinse it with tap water?

I keep a glass container full of vodka with a lid on it. When I want to clean something I toss it in there for a few hours. Read that recommended here... except for the lid but the vodka kept evaporating on me.

The purists will tell you to use distilled water as it leaves no mineral residue, but it's really up to you. I've used all kinds of things, water, distilled water, vodka, denture cleaning tablets... Depends on what you need to clean and how dirty it is.

    Welcome aboard! :)

See what's you gots when it gets there. All I can tell you is I've run some really thick 100 VG stuff though these things and removing the extra wick bits wasn't necessary. Even with thick VG you may need to keep the extra wick in there to help minimize flooding and to help draw liquid over the coil. But the coil was completely gunked up - black - by day nine, rendering the T3 pretty much unusable at that point. Rinsing was no help at all by then - the only thing that brought it back to life was a dry burn. At that point those itty bitty extra wicks were beyond saving. I replaced them with a couple new stands from some rba wicking I have on hand.

Got my stuff today, I started off with the 'Soltice' juice which was okay for a bit but to be honest I don't really like the flavor of it. I cleared out the t3 to the best of my ability and vaped a few hits with it 'empty' to get some of the left over juice out of the wick. Once the wick started looked less soaked I rinsed the T3 and filled it up with 'Vanda' which smelled amazing. The Vanda was noticeably the thickest of the juices but doesn't seem to have any issues wicking - however I think I might have ruined my t3 with the Solstice because I can't seem to get that taste out of it. Even though I can taste the vanilla parts of Vanda I can't help but shake that faint watermelony flavor from the Solstice.

You can put the coil assembly in some vodka or denture tablet solution (rinse it afterwards if you're using denture cleaner) and let it soak for a while. Or you can try vaping some unflavored in your T3, on a bit higher volatege if you can do it, to clean the coil. Either method should work.

Or you can do nothing--the watermelon flavor will disappear, eventually! :)
