I have had a couple friends that ended up in the ER because they smoked while forgetting they had patches on. The problem is that once you fell sick, that can be just the beginning, and you cannot stop how far it will go once started.

Get the nic levels detailed. Medium means nothing, but the Greensmoke cartos I had that were medium were 8 mg...very low for what most here need to at least initially kill analog cravings. And if a vendor is saying "medium" or "high" without giving actual amounts in an obviously place on their site, to me that's the red flag of a shady company trying rip people off. Another red flag is when they try to tell you how many packs a cart is equivalent to. This value is inevitably very inflated, and cannot be compared anyway, as everyone is different and smokes and vapes differently. They are generally trying to rope in desperate smokers that are too lazy to get more info...no offense to the OP, I got roped in the same way with GreenSmoke. Crap, and extremely expensive crap at that. Same with free trials, which generally are not in the long run. There is a sticky on that now in the New Members forum.

And if there are pictures of hot women on the same page, stay away entirely! :shock:

I just got an email back from V4L, the strengths are listed below. So I probably need to switch to 24mg.

High=36mg
Medium=18mg
Low=8mg
None=0mg

I must have missed the V4L reference. They are a good company! 36 mg may be too high for you, it may not. If you could go in between somehow, that might be best. 36 mg is fine for me for a few hits, but too much for all day.

I've been vaping now for 3 days and I'm still having strong cig cravings. Is that normal? I'm using "medium" nobacco juice, should I switch to high?

Anyway I'm using the patch (just put it on) to see if it'll get rid of my strong cravings. Is it safe to use the patch with vaping?

Well as I have said on another thread, I had to stop smoking cold turkey last Dec due to health problems. The first and only first week, I used the level 3 patch and vaped. After I got over the "urge", I quit the patch and now just vaping at 18 mg. It helped me but I had been smoking over 30 years. In another month or two I will cut the 18 mg down to 12 and see how I do. eventually I hope to go zero. Good luck!

I'd also suggest you up your nicotine levels first; there is little telling how much one particular person needs. What they smoked before is at best a very rough indication, nothing more.

If upping the nic does not do the trick, head over to the smokeless forum. For about 20% of all vapers, nic alone is not enough. Chances are obviously 80% though, that it is for you. If not, there are better alternatives than analogs.

I feel as far as tobacco use and the patch that most (in general good health), would be fine. Many doctors are now taking this stance of acceptable combined use (if necessary), as a harm reduction strategy (my own included).

But, with using the e-cig or PV you already have the option to increase or lower your intake of nic levels that you'd require, so it kind of defeats the purpose to slapping on a nic patch (not to mention paying, if you do, their ridiculous price, let alone that it's a Big Pharma product that I just REFUSE to participate in purchasing/using when their ARE natural alternatives worth investigating regarding ANY pharmaceutical drugs).

Just my 2c....
