I was wondering if anyone can give me so advice on handling some missing deliveries. I had 2 packages from usps saying they are delivered when in fact they are not. I checked my 2 neighbors next to me and they didn't receive it by accident. My past deliveries were able to fit through my mail slot and i don't think these would of been any different.

I went to the post office an they told me the maiman said he put it between the storm door and front door, odd because i dont have storm doors. The post office also told me it wasnt my normal mailman just someone who was covering the route. How do i prove that i never received them even though my tracking numbers says they were delivered.

I'm gonna try to talk to the mailman tomorrow if i can catch him

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

The USPS is basically useless. Go to their web site and file a claim with them. They have to prove that the deliveries were made.
I have to disagree with that. Everything I get from USPS comes to me faster than any other delivery service. USPS Priority is the least expensive way to ship and the fastest. Out of the thousands of things I've had delivered and send not one has gone missing.

I can see that. i went to the post office and it really was little help other than filling in some blanks. I hated being that guy/jerk at the window asking 100 questions while holding up the line of 15 people behind me lol

Houdini this is the first problem ever having a problem with USPS. They have been great in the past for me. I think the useless part is more about the customer service than anything

My best luck over the years is with UPS. Tracking is reliable, and my things arrive on time.

USPS has been grief for me. My wife is home all day, but for every package, we find a note in the box that says "were sorry, we missed you" then we have to go to the PO and pick up the package. I caught the mailman one day putting the slop in the box, and asked him for my package. Oops..he forgot to put it on the truck. Our whole neighborhood has been filing complaints, and nothing is done. I have dozens of stories.

By all means, continue to use them if they're good to you. (Maybe they just don't like me) I'm ready to buy a big dog, just so I can watch him chase the mailman.

good to know. I had a juice order I didn't get. Emailed the supplier and it was marked delivered....

You may still get it. I had an order from Canada. Canadian PO said "Accepted on 04/06. The USPS said "Foreign Acceptance" Those messages are still on their tracking sites, even though the package arrived today.

Yeah, USPS has not been impressing me lately as I look at their tracking page for an order where the shipping info was received on April 10th, and as of the 15th it said it was processed still 6 states away from me, and today... it says the same thing. SO, where the heck is my package?? Funny because we can send our Son packages to Kuwait in 4-6 days.

I've had great luck with USPS, especially priority mail, but there are a couple of issues.

1. Their tracking service sucks. It's not like FedEx, it's a rough guess at best.

2. The local people are generally yahoos. If you have a complaint, take it higher up. The locals will cover for their own people 90% of the time. I've had good friends and relatives who work for the post office, and they tell me the same thing.

The USPS is basically useless. Go to their web site and file a claim with them. They have to prove that the deliveries were made.

Yes USPS Is Useless. For Those Who Do Not Know They Have Delivery Confirmation, that means they are suppose to scan it when they put it in your box/door, they are not suppose to scan it in transit, but sometimes it happens and or they may scan it when it reaches your town or city and not when it was actually delivered. Delivery Confirmation Is Not Actual Tracking. This is a Poor & Lame System, But What Do U Expect. Also The USPS Tracking (they call it that until u track it and then they tell u its not tracking (exception is overnight express) Website is Not Always up to date, ie over sea's shipment goes out maybe EMS, TNT or DHL then to USPS, U may get your package before it was ever entered into the system. (UPS, EMS, FedEx, Etc Have Real Tracking).

A Few More Points:

- They Are Trying to Cut Their Budget Cuz They Are Almost Out of Money, Hence The Price Increase Again.

- They Have Been Quietly Removing Postal Boxes In Many Locations

- They Have been changing the pickups to once or twice a day instead of several pickups (area's & locations will effect what they do)

- They have been moving some mail slower, waiting another day or so on some mail & small packages to make up for there alleged budget crisis.

- They have cut overtime and in some locations hours open.

- They already have in the works to be closed on Saturdays!

- Bigger Issue, They Don't Have To Prove Anything! Meaning They Don't Have to prove it was delivered!

- If Your package was not insured your out of luck!

- They Don't Take Claims On The Website, They Will Tell U (or send u a letter) To Go To Your Local PO. If u never been to a post office and go their with a problem, they will tell u "just contact the merchant, they will just send u another one"!

- Going Postal Should be The Other Way!

- Many But Not All Have: Bad Attitudes, Poor Service, Lame Services, Talk Down To Ya, Just Suck, Useless, etc.

- Priority Mail Is Usually Good For 2 -4 Day Delivery In Most Area's, Except rural. Lately My Regular Weekly Priority Mails from the Same Place Every Week has Gone from 2 Days to 4 Days!

- Why? Besides the Budget issues, Probably Due to The Stressful Job it's with all those government benefits! (the standard clerks, drivers, delivery people are now getting some of there benefit's cut / altered due to the budget, they are not happy)

- My buddy is a USPS Union Rep, so he provides some inside info.

Just My Opinion. I Have Had Great Service & Poor Service..

Keep Vapin! Hope U Get Your Stuff!

I had a couple of things I sent out that took a long time to receive. They finally were received very late (overseas), but in the meantime, the recipient was wondering where it was and I had to call USPS-- the 800 number. She was kind of helpful, actually, and she asked me if I believed it to be foul play. She asked me this immediately. I didn't, btw, I really trust my post office people-- I thought the package might be behind a seat or a cabinet or something like that (it was stuck in customs). But, they do seem to care and I'd call and report this.

USPS for me has been great. My local office is very friendly. I live in a small town with mostly mid to retired folks.
I would suspect foul play for this one. Some towns or offices has A**holes working and might be thieves.
Remember on the tracking package click on the "additonal details" to see actual scans
they have been current and up to date in cue with EMS

LISTEN today I seen the package was going out from a main branch to my office, but it was around 2pm and I know they do packages in the morning. So I went to the office to see if they had it so I wouldn't have to wait till tommorrow(this is my first e-cig and 1st package) they said the truck will be here in the next 1/2 hr and they took my number and gave me a call when it came in so I picked it up about an hour later.
How nice is that service? They made a personal call just for me!! Shows below as notice left-That was the call I got on my cell!

Thanks for all the follow-up stories and help. To clarify these were sent to me domestically not from china. So if these are lost what are the chances for getting some kinda of refund or something i'd hate to have to eat 130 bucks. Once a I talk to my mailman today(i want to give him a chance to help me) i'll use the complaint link and notify puresmoker and vapor4life also. I have a feeling it was delivered to the wrong address and whoever got it wasnt a nice enough person to bring them to me. It could be anywhere with 100's of people living on my block.

Thanks again for all your help! ECF peeps are some of the best :D

I have talked with some people who work for postal service and they said if a package is misdelivered you are pretty much sol its your word against the carriers as to if it was delivered.

This frustrates me because it implies i'm a lair according to the post office. Its sad because up untill this point i have had no troubles with USPS.

I am right there with you. My package was shipped last Saturday. It left the east coast on Monday. Arrived in Kansas City, about 2 hours north of me Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Left KC Wednesday. Nothing.

Tried calling the damn automated hell-line and it is complete BS. If you tell the system you want to track a package, you will never be allowed to talk to a live person. You must lie to the system. Tell it you want to change address, redeliver a package, whatever, just DON'T tell it you have a tracking number. It will tell you it can't help you and that it can do everything a live person can do, so you don't need to talk to anyone.

I was so torqued off by the time I got to an operator, I had to tell her to hold on for a second so I didn't completely explode at her.(It's not her fault her company sux).

Finally I got what I wanted. Apparently what I wanted was to wait until Monday for someone else to call me back. Funny, I thought I wanted my missing juice. Guess I was wrong again.

I just want to say that I got an order last week from China(6000 miles) in 8 days. It will be at least 9 days before I get my package from the east coast(800 miles). I could have walked there and picked up my juice by now!

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I feel better now. Just really needed to vent.

i have to say it does really bother me that most suppliers are using the usps...I have had so many deliveries simply never arrive or ones that I shipped just disappear they just are not reliable I use fedex for any and all important documents but any packages for sure go through ups...they just seem cheaper than fedex on the big stuff.
