Been playing with this thing for a little over a week now... I'm not at expert but, I have noticed that, if I pull apart a KGD cotton pad (uhh... bad at visuals, pretend its two ply toilet paper?), cut the wick the same width of the coil pass the wick through the coil and fold it up, (like the instruction photo) lube the o ring and put the top cap on and cut the wick about 1/8 of an inch from the top of the cap, shove the protruding wick down to the wicking holes (toothpick helps), take a pair of needle nose tweezers and lightly fluff/pull the cotton through the wicking holes, I haven't gotten a leak, squeak, or dry hit, do to the wicking.

*a treat for the spelling and grammar nazi's alike*

I have leaking immediately after filling, IF I fill from the top. NO problems if I fill from the bottom. This happens whether I use a stock coil or the RBA. Other than this top-fill issue, I have no issues with the RBA, and am loving it with titanium coils on temp mode.

By leaking, I mean as much as 1/3 of the tank will spill out the air holes as soon as I reopen them. Huge quantities of juice. And none at all if filled from the bottom.

So, as of now, I'm filling it from the bottom. LOL

I love my Uwell Crown rba but I'm having issues with it leaking all the time. I have a twisted 26 gauge kanthal wrapped around a 2.5mm drill bit reading at .58 ohms. I'm using cellucotton and whenever I tip it to the side, it will start dripping like mad. I've tried using more cellucotton then less cellucotton and I can't quite get it down. The flavor is outstanding but the leaking is aggravating me. Do you think it's because of the cellucotton?

I have that problem too, but only if I fill it from the top. Bottom-filled, it never leaks. Have you tried bottom filling?

Hi Jimmy, I have the RBA decks for my 2 Uwell Crown's and both of them leak. I've tried different wicking techniques and they still leak. I have also noticed that the RBA deck comes loose from the bottom where the 510 is, I think that is what is causing the leaking problem.

There's a trick to getting to stop leaking when you top fill it! I learned this from some YouTube video a while ago when I had an Aqua tank (which was notorious for leaking from the air holes... a poorly designed tank all around, but I digress).

When you're screwing the top part back on, get it started by twisting it a turn or so, then as you are finishing twisting it in (clockwise), simultaneously flip the entire tank upside-down while you finish tightening it down. This should be done in one smooth motion, so the tank will be upside-down just as you finish the last half-turn or so. If you do it right, nothing should leak out the top, and your liquid should be mostly gathered up held in by the top part.

What this does is prevent the air pressure difference created by screwing down the top from pushing out liquid, because all of the liquid will simply be on the opposite end of the tank (the top, which while upside-down is now the "bottom"), instead of getting pushed out the air holes! Once I remembered to start doing this with my new Uwell Crown, my leaking problems immediately stopped! I'm using 50/50 and 65VG/35PG juice with great results either way.

Hi Jimmy.

For me, the crown in general has a leaking issue, no matter if i use the rba or the coils that came with the crown.
leaking imho is related to the top filling.
if you fill from below, there much less leaking.

my liquid is 70% vg, 20%pg and the rest is flavor and vodka. ;-)
so not an especially thin liquid.

to reduce leakage when using top filling, do:
- close air flow,
- top fill, close top
- turn the crown upside down
- softly suck at the drip tip
- open air flow
- now turn it to normal position again (drip tip up, afc below).
this does not stop leaking for me but reduces it.

with top filling my coils often drown in liquid (no matter if rba coil or uwell ready-to-vape coils)

if you wick the rba like shown in and use only bottom filling, there will be less leaking.
i know from other vapors that they have no leaking issues, so it seems only some crown tanks are affected.

imho the taste of the crown does not reach the taste quality of an iJust2 clearomizer with anyvape rba. therefor i won't order a second (and hopefully leaking-free) crown.

there are so many rta tanks out there, i am sure there are better ones (with less leaking/drowning issues);-)
e.g. i ordered an OBS crius v3 (i haven't received it yet).

I did not try the trick mentioned by hsrob1 yet. I'll give feedback if i've done.
auntie edit:
i tried the trick and it did not work at all for me.
it massivly leaked throught the drip tip when turned upside down and then it leaked through the afc when turned upside up again.
my crown has a massive "missing pressure" problem when top-filled or when filled more than 60% of the tank volume.

for me the crown is a big dissapointment and absolutely not recommendable.

happy vaping 2 @ll
