Look behind you.
Well, how do you think I knew NOT to do that stuff? Guilty! LOL. There's a few things I'd change about that post now, but there's so much info out that it's no biggie one way or the other.

Well it's still a major help to me when I first started out with the tank! Thanks much!

@ezjayy thanks for the info..

1) YES I AM GUILTY of priming the coil...lol
2) If your coil starts acting wonky, do not try and power your way through that. -- GUILTY AGAIN
On s side note.. if i vape with extra ventilation, leaving a gap between lips and tips(not covering the whole drip tip with lips) and pull hard.. it gets back to normal

HAHAHA Guilty as charged as well when i first had it. :vapor:

All over the place

One of the big things from that list was to not "power your way" against a wonky coil. That is my biggest tip. It won't get better with more power. At all. It starts sizzling, spitting and burning--literally, acting all possessed!

Noted with Thanks

No problem.

p.s. I used to say "yesternite" all the time. Pretty cool, man! Vape on. Y'all have a good night.

Somewhere out there...
So far no issues for me.. Normally if I just rewick the coils, I would do top fill with air holes closed.. But if there's still juice in the tank and if I were to topup the juice, I would do bottom fill..

In my opinion, I think it's down to the positive /negative air pressure in the tank that causes it to leak.. The negative pressure builds up as ur juices gets lesser and lesser and will prevent juice from going to the air holes so just the right amount of juice gets the the wick.. But if you open up to do top fill when there's still juice in there, the negative pressure is gone thus and more juice gets in and thus flooding the deck. This is just my 2 cents based on what I tried on the bellus and the crown.

And for the wicks, I did the 'S' type wick that someone here mentioned before..

decided to change out the stock coil... it was getting hard to draw and had very little vapor or sometimes burnt taste...

Recently just started on RBAs...
Currently using Uwell crown tank and smok xcube2

Built a 24awg Kanthal around 6-7 micro coils with 0.56 ohms. Did S-Wicking and ran it on 25-30W but I just get minor flavor and occasionally some burnt taste or metallic taste...

( currently using Mango Lassi btw, 50/50 )

Need advice from anyone to help improve my build for more flavor and less burnt/metallic taste

THANKS!

any luck bro?

jus did my RBA the following method
1) 28awg khantal parellel twist @ 3mm diameter = 0.6ohms
2) coil mouted = _o_ (instead of -o-)
3) normal striaght thru wicking.
4) pre season each juice channels with abt 5 drops of juice and abt 8 drops on the inside. mount the tank and let the juice soak in for abt 5mins.

so far so good... good vapours but slightly muted flavour. no burnt metallic tatse

leak test:
Top fill - with AFC closed no leak of any kind
bottom fill - not tested
side lying - No leak from tank or AFC

conclusion: all is good only the flavour, which could be due to too much cotton.

Managed to wick mine without burnt taste but isn't getting full flavor...
Now currently on 24g Kanthal, 3mm .69 ohms vaping at 25-30w max as vape is getting too hot to my liking.

Leaking wise, top fill always leaks for me... Can't get it right. It only doesn't leak because I pack too much cotton... Still can't get the right build... Getting ...... off.

Thinking of swapping to velocity or royal Hunter RDA clone. Any idea which clone has a better review?

What I do is wash my coil head by soaking it in warm water until the cotton is somewhat cleaner before wiping it dry. After that I'll close the air holes with my fingers and blow out the remaining juice to make sure that it's "clean". I'll just leave it to dry overnight or at least a day before using it again.

This method is based on various YouTube tutorials I have watched regarding cleaning stock coils.
