Hello guys and gals

After reading reviews on the uwell crown i am very tempted to purchase one from fasttech. As far as i am aware if i am buying authentic then it will be the real deal. I am currently using a kanger mini on a eleaf 40w using the pre built kanthal coils. From reading and watching reviews i understand my eleaf stick will not be powerfull enough to get the best use from the Uwell.

What box mod would you recommend? I am currently looking at 75w with TC control either the IPV D2 or sigelei 75w. Will these mods be sufficient? I currently vape at 25w and i feel i would not vape higher than 75w. I am curious to know what user sweet spots are when using this tank and the coils in use.

Any advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Ty in advance.

kinda sorta depends. If you use the .5 ohm coil, 75w will be plenty. If you find you prefer the .25 ohm coil, as most using the Crown seem to, 75 watts is in the low to middle of the sweet spot. If at some point, you decide you like a warm moist vape @.25 ohm, you can't get there from here.

Myself, once I leave the familiar feel of a tube mod, I want POWER. TC right now wants low ohm builds to work best. The IPV4s (or any number of dual 18650 tc mods) is only $20 and one battery more, and you get long battery life, high volts and watts, and some future proofing. Not that that really means much anymore. If the trend is your friend, next week 200watt DNA dual batt mods will be $50.:thumb:

I love my sig 150 tc. If you don't want to put up the extra money, I'd say go with the sig 75 TC. Everything in the sigelei line is sleek, sturdy, and very reliable. Consider getting an rda too, they've got better flavor in my opinion. I'd recommend the royal hunter, either authentic or the tobecco clone. Cheers!

With the Crown you'll want a MINIMUM of 100W. The coils are designed to run in the 70-110W range. 60W isn't enough to get the coils working right (It will work, but it won't work as intended) and 75W at max power would be on the low end of what the tank really wants, and you want to avoid running any mod at it's maximum setting all of the time. Not to mention that the 60W and 75W mods are all single battery and will only last a few hours before the battery dies if you're pushing them to their limits.

A dual battery 100+W mod is ideal for this tank.

Thanks for all the responses! I think i am going to go with the iPV 4S 120w, seems ideal and within my price range. I never put my device down since quitting smoking i don't usually get a full day from the battery. With regards to dual battery mods are battery mods are the battery life better? Or should i purchase 4 batteries to ensure it doe not run out in my time of need. (All the time)

I work in a job where I drive a tractor for 12 hours a day, so I often end up chain vaping all day. If you can afford it, getting 4 batteries will keep you in the clear. I've now accumulated 8 VTC 4's and 4 25R's, and have never had to worry about not being able to vape at any time of day

I think that's a good choice.

A lot depends on the nicotine in your juice. Meaning, I can put 12 mg nic in the Crown and God help me if I'm over 35 watts for even a couple seconds, it will almost knock ya down. Plus it saves a LOT of juice taking one hit every 30 minutes rather than chain vaping.

I use Crown's on a VS rDNA 40 and SX M mini, they work flawlessly using the .5 coils.

If you go with the .25 coils you'll probably want more power, 100 watts is certainly enough, usually 40-60 watts is all I can take with 12 mg. nic.

Lower nic juice you can vape till your hearts content, going through juice like gang-busters.

I use a SnowWolf 200W and have no problems getting a full days use out of a single charge, but I have 4 batteries (2 married pairs) and swap out the batteries every morning so I start the day on a fully charged pair of batteries.

With a dual battery mod you'll get better life out of a single charge. Running the mod at 70-100W you'll probably end the day pretty close to the end of the charge. I usually end up with about a quarter charge left which is why I put in fresh batteries in the morning. It's easier to have two sets and swap them out, that way you've always got a good charge left while you're recharging the others. You never know when you'll wake up in the middle of the night and feel the need to take a few puffs while taking care of some late night issues.

The IPv4 is a great pairing for it, especially if you end up enjoying that .25 coil. I used that combo for a while, traded it and I'm kinda sorry I did. Personally I'm gonna grab the hcigar dna200 to pair with it soon.

My problem with the current DNA200 mods out now is the same as my problem with a single battery mod. Not enough charge if you run the mod at high wattage. A 900mAh lipo will last about as long as a 2200mAh 18650, but at 70+W with a low ohm coil you're only going to get around 8-10 hours out of a charge, even less if you're chain vaping. The good part about the 900mAh lipo is it can be charged via USB in less than 2 hours, and can be used while it's charging. The bad part about that is it means you're tethered to a USB port for 2 hours in the middle of the day while it's charging.
