I have the exact same issue going on, I just don't get why it all of the sudden struggles to wick efficiently. I have tried the .25, .5, and the NI200 coils all with the same issues. I tried a long low and slow break in as well as a hot and heavy just go for it break in with the same results. I've recently noticed that I can get the bubbles to float up if I rotate the tank around, it almost like they are getting trapped and blocking juice flow. I cannot find anything wrong with the machining or Orings but there has to be some sort of vacuum issue but I don't have any leaks either.

I've actually emailed Uwell about this cause I'm at wits end with solutions. Right now I'm using my last fresh .25 coil testing|
what a few have recommended in regards to a break in period where you vape a couple tanks worth at around 40 watts. So far it's been ok, but I haven't exactly reached the point where I typically get dry burn.

If I hear back from Uwell or this break in thing works I'll let know but at the present time I'm thinking of just biting the bullet, trashing them and getting the tvf4...m

I posted recently in the general discussion and got a couple of recommendations, which I'll list here, but so far no luck.

I have had nothing but trouble with the 3 Crown tanks I bought from yetivape.

Tanks themselves, build quality etc..? Superb, some of the best I've seen in years of vaping.

But I get constant dry burn hits from ALL THREE. I'm using the 0.25 coils at 72-78watts. All the liquids tried are 65PG/35VG, I've tried them on three mods, my Sigelei 100+, my IPV3Li, and my SnowWolf 200W. I've tried replacing the coils, same thing.

The first 4-5 tanks worked pretty well.. after that? Constant dry burn. I had one user suggest I need a juice that's higher in VG, so I put in one of the few remaining fresh coils and used some sample liquids that are 35PG/65VG I had laying around. Same outcome. First few tanks were great, then I dry burns.

Everyone is raving about this tank, so I refuse to believe this is typical behavior. I must be missing something or doing something wrong, I just have no ideal what it could be. I put this current coil in about 12 hours ago and if I don't let it sit for a bit between hits it's already giving me dry burn. Keep in mind this is NEVER going above 78watts. I'm reading about and seeing youtube hit this thing at 90-100watts giving it no break and claiming to not get a single hint of dry burn.

So I'm just left wondering and having to ask, what could I possibly be doing wrong? 3 tanks, tried changing coils, various juices, 3 mods, the problem HAS to be something I'm doing wrong here...

I'm really trying to think on this, but here is what I can think of.

I have never vaped anything 65PG before (few do) that seems very high and once you get a dry burning hit the coil is damaged so even if you switch to 65VG after on the same coil the damage is done.

Everything I vape is max VG, I think the lowest is 85%VG. So every post I have ever made on the Crown that is what I have used. It is possible you got a bad batch of coils. If you want to sell/mail me a new .25 coil new from your batch of coils I will straight away take it to 110 watts after seconds of low wattage break in and I will tell you if something is wonky. You can search back and see all my post on this tank since the 1st photo's of it on page 2 or 3 of the thread.

Of course a better option may be just to order you some max VG juice just to give it a shot and see if that is the magic difference.

I know this is probably driving you crazy :) Good luck.

I've highly appreciate your offer and I'd be more than happy to send a coil off for you to test, but I'm using the last one trying in the low wattage break in method lol.

I'm ordering liquids this Friday and I'm going to order 80vg, it's the highest the site I order from goes, and I'm also going to buy a few boxes of new coils and see if the problem continues. This whole time I've been saying it's a user error on my behalf, considering I make a living with numerous forms of technology I'm not above admitting it is probably a user error lol. (I run my own freelance graphics, media and photography company, but long time computer tech and even use it on weekends for djing now that mixing has gone full digital).

Like I said I will post back if this coil I prepped at lower wattage ends up working out.

I doubt it is user error. When you pop in a new .25 with some 80%VG (don't pre-prime it) let it sit for about 2 minutes with a filled tank. Then vape for 2 minutes at 45 watts, then 2 minutes at 65 watts, then 2 minutes at 95 watts and really 95-100 watts until the 1st tank is done.

Now I'm getting worried. Finally pulled the trigger on not one, but 2 of these things and I'm reading a few posts about bunt hits. True, these were not bought as a replacement for my day to day setup. But I would like to enjoy the tanks until the coils burn out and I retire the tanks to my collection. I guess I will have to wait and see.

I have .25 coils I have been vaping on for a month+ (I have several of these tanks). Since day 1 getting the 1st tank I have actually only replaced ONE coil and it was only because was no longer holding the 100 watts I like to push, that coil lasted about 3 weeks @ 100-110 watts.

Dry hits are not typical if you go back to the beginning of the thread and read forward. Also if you read through the TFV4 owner thread many of us use both TFV4 and Crown tanks and lots of success discussed on both tanks.

It's solid, I just bought 2 more tanks this past week. 5 Crowns and 4 TFV4's (5th on the way) are mostly all I use now. If one has 100 watts to work with its a good bang for the buck @30 for a kit (but I search for the kits that have 3 .25 coils myself) and they are getting hard to find.

I wouldn't be worried. Like SD said, there's only been a small group, maybe 3-5 of us who've experienced these problems. The entire rest of the thread praises this tank, as does most of the internet actually...lol. Just saying the likelihood is slim that it'll happen.

I am curious though, I bought mine from Yetivape or Yetivapes whatever, I wish I'd asked some of the others what vendor they went through.

I got both of mine through ecig.com. Couldn't pass them up at that price.

My last 0.25 that I tried prepping by building up the wattage on just bit the dust nothing was used in it but 65VG which is the highest I have currently. I'll take a pull on it, exhale, take another pull and it's full on dry burn. This is at 82watts. Just giving everyone the update. That's all 6 .25 coils that came with my tanks doing the exact same thing. Extremely frustrated and disappointed about this.

After this last coil biting the dust I'm seriously considering in just investing in several TFV4's. I had great luck with the Smok VCT Pro with the exception of build quality.

My only concern is some of the claims about its juice consumption. You having both and I assume using both around the same wattage, how much more juice does the TFV4 take down? I know that's highly subjective but just curious.

Using the 0.2 coils at 75watts in a VCT Pro, I would use around 9-12 ml a day. When the Crown tank has worked for me (using two new coils in two of the tanks at 78-86watts) I went through about 25-30ml a day. But I've heard claims of the TFV4's sucking down 30ml in a few hours...

Hence my reason for asking about the difference. Just wondering if it's significantly more or pretty negligible or what... cause I'm next to giving up on the Crown honestly but if the TFV4 sucks down a lot more juice than the Crown, then I might keep working with the Crown simply because I can't afford to use the TFV4 if it drinks a lot more lol.

Crown and TFV4 drink juice pretty equal at the 90 watt range.

I honestly feel that over all the Crown is a better tank than my TFV's. The TFV .15 coil can handle 150 watts and that is where it's amazing win is *IF* you can handle that warmth. From time to time I do hit their quad and triple coil in that range for fun which is why I will always keep a few around.

So far my experience with TFV is that everything except the .15 has proven more or less inferior to the .25 SS Crown coil at the 90 watts range (again just my opinion). I have to say I'd just as well toot on my Crown at 80-100 most of the time and certainly when on the go. The other thing is the Crown top fill design is by far the easiest and most well designed that there is. That is just my 2 cents. I have 5 Crowns, and 5 TFV4 but my 5th TFV4 came in the mail today and I am really considering just selling it off.

If you can get this issue sorted out on your Crown it is the best tank IMO for 2015.

If you have used all your .25's don't try a new one until you can get your hands on as max VG as you can. This issue you are having is not normal, especially coil after coil on any mod you own. Heck maybe you do have some crazy defect no one realizes exist. If you buy another PM me 1st please. :(

P.S. Possible issues with TFV4 that people have had are unusual leaking, chipped glass out of the box, no spare seals and melted seals in most kits, loose tops that don't click lock together as they should, wobble on drip tip, drip tip rises up, more difficult to fill, half threaded 510 male pin, air flow valve that does not seal 100%. These are random issues that may or may NEVER happen to you but just know the tank ain't perfect :)

NOTHING IS :):):)

This Friday I'll be restocking liquids and will get 80vg in all of them. I'm going to go ahead and buy a couple boxes of new .25s for the Crown simply because I HATE not being able to figure something out or fix something. But I'll probably grab a TFV4 as well just to give it a shot and see. I simply wasn't going to even spend the money on one TFV4 if really guzzled juice a LOT more than the Crown lol.

I truly appreciate all your input, help and suggestions regarding this. I suppose I'm just going to put these away and use my VCT Pro tanks until I can order more coils and 80vg juice this Friday.

My juices range... the 6 I tried were a blueberry tobacco, a vanilla custard, a fruit that's hard to describe but I guess a sour apple is the easiest way, a cinnamon roll, a tiramisu and a strawberries & cream. All were 65PG except the strawberries and cream which was 65VG. I'm trying one of the .5 dual coils at the moment. I forgot ordering these from Yeti Vape they sent me some free juice which is a 70VG... closest thing I can get to 80 for a little over a week. Thought it was worth a shot.

Personally I really like the .5 coils at lower wattage, really saves on juice big-time.
