Think I did gift for a friend
They requested that I send the $6 as F&F.
How long did it take, from the time you Paypal'd them to your receipt of the replacement coils?
I paid today and will let y'all know how long it takes.

I had lost faith in my Crown, but am hopeful again...

Hey guys, need some advice here! I want to get this tank but first I need to know if it is good for mouth to lung hits as that's pretty much the only way I vape. The only other sub-ohm tank I have is the Kanger subtank and I think I am still using the original coils that it came with (0.5 ohm OCC) and they just do not work for me.

Not to say they're bad coils, they seem to work just fine when I try them as a lung inhale with the airflow mostly to completely open, but when I try to do a mouth to lung hit with the airflow closed to just a tiny sliver (like half of 1 hole), and take a hit, I just get a weak wispy hit with some spitting and it is really unpleasant. I thought it's probably because I am not taking a long hit like I would lung hitting it and the 4 seconds or so that I am firing isn't getting it hot enough? I tried it at different wattages too... at high wattage, it's just too hot and harsh for me and I get spitback. When I do it at low wattage, I get the weak wispy scratchy hit. I haven't tried the higher ohm coils or the vertical coils, but that was my first choice for trying to improve the hit for me on these tanks.

But theeeen, I got curious about temperature control, thinking maybe it could help me get the hit I want, something a little cooler and won't spit back and make me cough every hit. But in order to try temperature control, I have to buy a TC mod.. so I ordered a Wismed Presa 75w TC. But it doesn't ship till 11/18 so I don't have it yet. And now I'm wondering if I should just try the new subtank coils or try a different tank altogether or if it'd make a difference or would I be just spending extra unnecessary money.

I realize I am just a casual vaper but I have way more stuff than I actually use and I am trying to control this habit so I have money left to buy gifts at the holidays lol. I have like 50 bottles of juice that are mostly 70% full or more, and I vape roughly 2-5ml a day yet I keep ordering more. I have a dozen mods and tanks, but the only thing I use right now is my eGrip OLED CLR and a freaking iStick 20 with a Kayfun clone running a single 1.5 ohm coil. Yea... maybe I should stop trying to get more advanced and just stick to these. But I really want better siince I've spent so much money already so... here I am. wow that post ended up way longer than I intended it to. Actually halfway through the post, I got up to use the bathroom then I went to the kitchen and got a glass of wine because I realized I'm too hyped up and this is probably why lol.

TLDR... I need a good mouth to lung tank and I'm trying to decide between trying the Uwell Crown out or buying different coils for my Kanger Subtanks.

I'd think before you before you abandon what you have,
give it a new approach and try some more coils in your SubTank

1.2Ω vertical &/or horizontal coils
- Kanger SubTank Replacement OCC Coils - 5 Pack - 1.2ohms
- Kanger SubTank Vertical OCC Coils - 5 Pack - 1.2ohms NEW

or maybe even 1.5Ω
- Kanger SubTank Vertical OCC Coils - 5 Pack - 1.5ohms NEW

then the Ni (TC) version too
- Kanger Subtank Ni-200 OCC 5 Pack ** See Description

with the different coils, also comes smaller air hole passage that might help with mouth-to-lung

just a thought
:)

- Kanger Mini RBA Coil for Subtank Plus and Mini - UPDATED

ps: ever think of one of these LONG tips to help get away from
heat and splash back...

This has happened to me a few times so far, when using the rba head, after leaving the tank sit, while filled with juice, it will suddenly just burn when hitting the button. The wick is wet, filled in the coil, but it burns its like all wire, no juice.... unscrewing the rba head and replacing fixes it. Just me?

First of all there is a version 2 of this tank, it wasn't announced or anything but when I received my second it had longer air holes that being said you need to wick it with Japanese cotton in an S format or you will have problems .. Once it's wicked properly it works like a beast!

My issue with the RBA head is not a wicking issue, its after it sits, with juice, wet wick, then fire it - the coil super heats (or something?) and its just burn, choke, cough... Unscrew the RBA section, screw it back on and all is good again? I have NO CLUE why.

This is a dumb question but is your coil touching one of the poles, maybe you didn't not snip the wires short and clean and it's causing an on/off short when you screwed on the top cap?

Is ecig.com a reputable site? never ordered from them before but their prices are very good.
Ordered a lot from them. Quick ship. $75 minimum order for free shipping but I think they once charged me a $3 flat rate shipping on an evic I bought from them when I didn't meet the minimum. You will have a chance to see the current shipping rates before inputting your credit card number.

Fairly good service but like a 15day return policy.
