Just bought a Paul Marek V3 stab wood hybrid mod running on the DNA40 chip, was worried I wouldn't have a tank to use with this mod.

Running the Crown with 1.2ohm coils at 20watts and it vapes nicely...not really a subohm cloud chaser vape but direct lung hitting is very nice with this setup. Best part is you get a full 2 days of battery life on a single 18650 and I chain vape..

You should have plenty of room with the Crown 1.2s to push those coils a bit higher (up to 30w) with the DNA40 to get closer to that subohm cloud chaser vape if you were so inclined.

That seems like pretty nice results to get running only 20 watts probably don't burn through as much juice... I just don't think I would enjoy that type of vape anymore after Vaping at the 35-75 watts with sub ohm coils for a long time now

Just got a my first Crown :) currently using .5 coils, but would .25 coils produce a better flavor? Also, what is the recommended wattage for the 2 different resistances? New to subohming, long time vaper, thanks!
I don't remember how many watts I used a .5 at.
I've been using .25Ω since September or so.
I like .25Ω Crown coils.

I might as well get some more mileage out of what I posted in a different thread yesterday.

I soak my .25Ω Crown coils in a puddle of juice until it's saturated.
I start at 50W for about a ml, then 65W for the rest of the first tank.
Second tank I vape at 70W-75W.
It's good for about 30ml with my 90VG/5%saline juice from there at 70W-80W.
I scrape the gunk with a dental paddle as needed for about another 30ml and poke the juice holes with a map pin as needed.
OTOH, I currently have about 150ml through one with Hingham Hill ~ Christmas Morning.
It's a super clean juice and the producer prides himself on making it that way.

Last September I got over 200ml through a .25Ω with unflavored Max VG and tore it apart to investigate:

.25Ω Crown coil after ~200ml (mostly unflavored or 1/3 flavored Max VG)
It started giving dry hits at 120W
It probably could have lasted another 50+ml but was starting to give a mild nasty note at my usual 80W
Looks pretty damn good for 200+ml high VG IMO

sent from my Galaxy Note 5
I use the .5 coils at 50 watts @ 100% VG Nude Nicotine flavored juice. The juice is like gear oil, therefore I don't dare to go higher.....:)

honestly there is no reason to build now unless you just like to. or build special coils. these coils last incredibly long but there have been a few duds out of the box. i bought ten packs and if there no duds that should last like a couple of years. i vape a lot too. i am glad i did not get there new tank after i read the reviews. this tank is all i would really ask for. i am putting a lot of heat and they just last at least a couple of months. simply amazing to me.

I think the packs of coils I bought are all good too. There was a sale after the tank just came out....I bought a dozen boxes of .25 and .5, I've yet to have a single coil burn on me....I just toss them when the flavor diminishes, which can be weeks.

Seems like all the folks having problems with coils must be a different batch, or batches.

no. i am chain vaping 50ml a day and they last two months at 530f/110w. don't feel bad i have had bad luck with other things in life lol. people bought dozens? i mean i am alright but that is too much money for me. i got i think 10 packs of four. that could feasibly last me two years if not too many were bad. if i got like 2 bad boxes in a row i would move on personally. just glad i did not get the new tank. heard it is a disaster.

Ah, maybe because you're using them in TC mode - that should stop them getting so hot. I need to try that on my RX200!
