I use 1.2 @ 35w lots of vapor and flavor.
I am using 1.2 @ 35w on my Istick 50, it works very well and battery lasts for days. I use this setup for out & about use being lighter, also have used 1.2 with Sx mini M and Rx200 with good results too around same wattage as I like cooler vape juice is 80% Vg.

i am using the ni200 coils at 110w/530f. plus increased ramp up etc. i am nuts. still good ones last months. the only downside to my clouds is i use the full crown in 5 minutes! i just love the taste but i am sure i am burning it. especially with old coils. funny i just posted elsewhere burning cotton is not good for your lungs. pieces can break off, lodge in the lungs and even kill you! i guess i do not heed my own warnings.

i wanted to know something. can these ss coils run in temp control?

Yes! set up TCR to suit SS316, TCR settings can be found on this thread also elsewhere. I'm assuming here that you are using SX mini M or RX200, these are the only TC devices I use so not sure what others do.

How is the air flow on the 1.2 coil? I've also heard rumor that the Crown tank will leak 50/50 liquid true or false? If you can't tell I'm making my next tank decision right now.
I vape 50/50 with no issues...Might get a dribble from the air hole if I leave it sitting unused for a few weeks, but that's it.

Hey that's great to hear. With small children in the home leaking is something I cannot have. Which is why I've been using the Cubis for the past 4 months. I'm debating between adding the toptank mini, kanger cl tank, the crown, or another Cubis to the rotation. I have had great success with the Cubis .5 ohm coils. Looking for a smedge more flavor.

Haven't tried Cubis but it would be hard pressed to perform anywhere close to a Crown. Crown is an easy fill full flavor tank on stock SS coils and one of my absolute favorites. Other than initial priming delays, (I fill night before & let them soak in overnight so I don't have to observe the ritual), I can't fault it at all.

Go for the Crown!

Speaking of overly complicated priming rituals, does anyone really feel these rituals are better than just letting the coil soak? I just let my coils soak for 15 minutes and I'm good to go.
Yes I used to prime the coils but after I was doing a bunch a day (I have a lot of atties), I started to put them in bone dry and let them sit for 10 minutes. I did reopen the first five of them after 10 minutes and they were completely soaked. Nowadays I don't even check them after 10 minutes. As I know they are ready.

When I saw videos of people manually priming their coils I wondered why they were making a simple procedure so complicated. It seems this ritual has spread to the majority of vapers and I wondered why. You would think if so many people do it that it must be better but it isn't. That's why it's strange to me why so many people do it. The only thing I can figure it's a monkey see monkey do type of thing.

I know others say 50 50 is fine. It doesn't leak on you but I have found it can easily flood the coils and make that gurgling crap happen. I use .25 SS coils. YMMV. Just giving the other side of the coin and my opinion. It's s great tank tho. By far my favorite. I prefer it over the tfv4.

Try replacing the flat Gasket ("O" Ring) in the top cap it fixed a leak into the bottom of mine, there are a couple of spares that come with the tank I must have refilled a couple of hundred times so I can't grumble.

strange. maybe ss coil is different ohms than ni200 coil. yeah it is but i don't get this. with ni200 i was at 480f/120w with ss to get the same i am at 570f/35w! i think that is too hot for cotton but i get no production with it lower. of course at 35w it might not even be getting there with a 1 second puff. not sure why such a huge difference in settings for the same vape.

Well nickel has a high TCR value and SS has a very low TCR value (almost 7 times lower). And getting a mod to do TC with SS is a lot harder to do. And I wouldn't doubt for a second that whatever temperature you set it on, it probably isn't really at that temp.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or what but I'm on my second .25 coil and I can't seem to take it much higher than 60w without getting dry hits. A friend of mine is running his crown at 90w with no problems. My coil is reading .26 on my rx200. He's running a Sigelei fuchai.
