Well, today met with fate as I dropped the crown tank assembly from arm's height onto the marble flooring in my room. Pretty much took a chunk out of the tank wall and lost some fluid. But, thankfully the package comes with a extra tank and spent some time cleaning everything perfect and putting in a new coil. Works fine now.

Anyone running the Crown with the Ni coil on a DNA 200? I am curious to know what settings you have it at. Are you just using the default profile, or have you setup a custom profile? What is your max temp (I have mine at 500), and have you set a preheat power or preheat punch?

So i just picked up a vt200 and was really excited to try out the SS tc with these .25 coils. So I went on steam engine and popped up the 316L wire and put the resistance to 0.3 on the website then downloaded the csv file to my pc. Then from there i uploaded the csv file to one of my profiles on the vt200. So I'm trying to vape now with that profile and it hits temp protection so quick it's killing the vape. Is there something I am doing wrong? DNA noob here guys...

Edit: This problem isn't limited to the ss coil. I put a Ni200 coil on the vt200 and it also hits temperature protection with a second or two. There's gotta be something simple i am missing...

I've been sitting on the RBA section for a couple of weeks and decided to try it out today. I've tried three different coils, including the stock coil, in two different crown bases. Neither my ohm reader nor any of my mods recognize the atomizer. It's not making a connection somewhere but for the life of me I can't figure out why. I can't return this (ebay) - any thoughts?

Try this:

Remove the RBA section from the base
Use a small flat head screwdriver and push the 510 pin OUT a little from the base
Install the RBA Section
Push the pin 510 pin back into place from the bottom of the base

Shouldn't it be the other way round?
Push the pin in with the RBA removed, then install the RBA (should feel it making contact).

Looks like a lot of places are out of stock but I seen them at Vape Royalty for $13.99 But I see all the vendors that had them for less are out of stock. I am sure you could find them on ebay, looks like most of them are even more but at least you get shipping free. I got one when I bought my first Crown but still have not got around to messing with it, I stocked up on Ni,.25,.5's, Must be a hot item, that and China is on a holiday for a few days.

I know its temp mode and this may sound silly but have you tried adjusting the wattage ?

Not to go off topic to much but I know you like trying tanks, I just got the Apex tank and wow, the flavor on this hands down beats the Crown tank and that is saying something, soooo good !

Not to go off topic to much but I know you like trying tanks, I just got the Apex tank and wow, the flavor on this hands down beats the Crown tank and that is saying something, soooo good !

I wish Innokin would provide some info on the new kanthal tc mod/new connection type. If it looks good, I'll probably buy their new mod and I'm assuming the only tank I'll be able to use with it is their own. And I'm guessing that tank will be awfully similar to the Apex.

Damn you Rixsta, lol!!! Just kidding, but you have cost me too much money, by turning me on to the Freemax Starre, the Crown, and now the Apex (which I will be ordering soon). In all seriousness, every tank you have mentioned has been great, so I've got to try it. "Hands down beats the Crown" is saying something.

The crown nickel coil is fantastic with the DNA200. Big difference on the DNA200 with the extra power when compared to an IPV4 that is limited to 50 joules.

I have a custom profile for the Crown although I usually play with the temperature and wattage settings of that profile so all that essentially stays the same is the pre-heat of 75 (I have another with a 100 watt pre-heat for when I feel like trying that although I don't really see it going that high). I am usually between 430-480 degrees depending on the e-liquid flavor.
