Just a thought...break in and priming are both required for these heads. Let it sit overnight installed on the Crown and see if it makes a difference for you. Or watch the vid and adapt it's principals to a manner and fashion which suits you.

Food for thought. I have been loving the crown for a month now. Tonight i got a dry hit, not dry but burnt, not one but a few. I was using a juice that was not DIY that i have used beforel from this company anyway. I switched to another store from a different company and it quit. Back to its old self. Just putting this out there maybe i will go back to DIY. oh yea its all max vg. Maybe 80/20 would help or even more.

Personally I've never did anything different priming the Crown, simply put enough juice in the coil so its saturated and vape away. Haven't had a dry hit ever using the .15 .25 .50 coils on the SXmini-M and Vaporshark rDNA 40. Lots of folks like the 70-100 watt range, I really can't take more than 50 watts.

The coils last for weeks, when flavor begins to deplete, I change the coil.

This video is good but it's so easy to over saturate the coil and then it floods, its a real pain to get it to stop after that too, even blowing down the coil and cleaning the tank, for me, it's the worse thing about this tank, when it works it works great but once again I'm back to gurgling which is something the TFV4 never does.

My Crown finally came in today. I bought it as a replacement for a Subtank Mini as I hate Kangers new vertical coils. So far I am very impressed. Upon first inspection it is a bit larger and certainly more "solid" for lack of a better description. I stuck in the .5ohm SS coil and after a long soak I gave it a try. I quickly found this tank needs some power to work. With the subtank I vaped 15w-20w depending on the juice with both .5 and 1.2 coils. At 15w this things barely functions. At 30w it gives off a nice vape. I like MTL for a more discrete vape and it's less annoying to my wife. Cranked down to the lowest air flow setting it works well. Opened it up and went to 40w and it gave off a nice cloud though the taste didn't change much. Went up to 60w on one of the few none mint/menthol/anise juices and it was delicious with a huge cloud. But the taste wasn't that drastic of a difference, I'll stick to MTL at the lower wattage for daily use. But it was nice and the first time I was able to vape at higher wattages, the Kanger burned at 25 watts on any juice down to the .5 coil. I bought a pack of the 1.2 coils with it anticipating using the lower wattage. Both for a cooler vape with my preferred cool juices and lower juice usage.

I am confident I have found a permanent replacement for my Subtank. Once I get down to my last horizontal coils I will order a second Crown, I need two tanks for flavor rotation through the day. Now if they would release a mini version I would be even happier.

I am hoping to see the long coil life others are posting about as these puppies are a bit more expensive.

I picked up this tank to try out the 1.2 ohm coils and am very unsatisfied. The coils taste like burnt rubber. I primed the first one like I normally do and let it sit for about an hour and the first draw almost made me throw up. I kept at it since reading these coils need broken in but another coil that I let soak overnight and a tank later the taste is still there(not as bad but still overbearing). Is this common for stainless steel coils? I saw a post somewhere saying these coils need about 2 tanks to be broken in...is this true? If so that is ridiculous.

My .5 coils needed the better part of a tank to start tasting right. What kind of wattage are you using? I was surprised how much wattage it took to get decent taster out of it. I haven't tried the 1.2 yet, have a box but going to use up the .5 first.
