Our anniversary is 10/31...yep...Halloween :) There's a real story behind that one!

Morandir, that would be his ideal gift :) An underwater gaming computer :) He might not take it diving but he'd enjoy it while relaxing in a pool :) I'd never see him then! He'd be sunburned and waterlogged

Ya know, seriously, I have NO clue...it just hit me...NO idea what to get him! I mean PANIC! No freaking HINT of an idea <sigh> The problem is we're at that stage where we don't need anything and have little want for anything we don't already own <double sigh> All the games he wants are due in November!!! <running around like a chicken with its head cut off> Ugh! That was a little too graphic! <running around in circles> It's true...it was just an idle comment before but there is NOTHING I can think of to give him and he's such a special guy I'd like to get something for him :)

Clover, we have no plans to do anything special that night...went out for a nice dinner last night and he tried to take a bath in the fondue oil :p No kidding, his fork flipped out of the pot and splattered oil all over his shirt and tie ;) I guess I could pay his dry cleaning bill
isnt that the truth ..its so hard ,even christmas and birthdays ..what year are you on Kanza ?
Weve gone down the lists too so now at christmas we just do a list cause who knows ? we just make it big enough that its a surprise what they pick.I am always happy with gift cards so i can shop .What about booking something like a side by side massage or spa day ? i cant do that because he thinks a massage is too metero for him lol ....I hope you think of something special !

Wader, is your store open? I saw photos of it and was kinda curious :) Also, would the discounts apply there or just for mail order? If you've answered this in the past, is there a link for the particulars?

Sheesh...I hate being away, seems like I miss all the neat info ;)

Yes it is! Stop on by. Discounts can be applied right instore!

Go preorder the games he wants.....print off the pics from Gamestop and stick them in a box with the preorder receipt....then you can just do a nice dinner and some little small trinket type gift ;)

Edit: See what I get for responding BEFORE reading all the posts...lol....Morandir covered ya...lol

I gotta say it again...you guys are the greatest and most wonderful people imaginable :) Thanks for the help, y'all :) I fully intend to order the game tonight...if the nasty, chilly wind doesn't blow me away first :p

He just ordered 3 pairs of water shoes for me so I will be covered on all of the travel/dive trips we have upcoming :) I used to wear my sandals but that means getting them wet...and cold...and very uncomfortable :) He deserves the best :)

Waylon...my DH is a "manly-man" to quote the old phrase and he loves massages :) We did the couples massage once and he said we'll do it again...but I kinda hope he forgets ;) I have arthritis of the spine and it almost killed me...but as for him? It put him to sleep immediately  Tell your hubby he can select unscented oils and look at it as an excuse to take a nap <cheer> I swear, some of the things guys object to and the reasons they have for rejecting them...kinda cute, isn't it? Didn't he just have a birthday? Did you find the present you wanted? I know I suggested the Kindle Fire but wasn't sure if their release date has already happened :) BTW, love your idea about a long list for the "element of surprise" but we're at the age where there's not that much we want/need right now <sigh> I try to keep an "impulse" list of things we talk about throughout the year but I keep forgetting where I left it

Well, off to the dry cleaners with his oil-splashed clothes :) How in the world he can do so much damage with one tiny fondue fork is beyond me :)

Wader, I hope to try the store some time this week so have a BIG sale ready, okay??

if i get him the e reader it will prob be for xmas ,kept it small so we could go out to dinner this weekend with our son .I have tried to get him to get a massage with me and pedicures but NO lol.
I am the messy one here and would have done same with fondue ..i am constantly the spiller in the family and have to wear old clothes to cook lol .It provides him endless fun and jokes tho :)
Yup the mans man ...i got that too but i didnt want the guy who checks his hair more then me lol
Vanity is not pretty in a man .
Confidance is a good thing :)
Well try to find that impulse list for xmas ! Me too ! But i can always go for store cards and a massage certificate /makeup /clothes because i do not buy much during the year .Opposite of a shopaholic ,despise shopping period .

It must have been quite a January in New England! My niece is set for induction after seven AM tomorrow, and they'll call her when a bed becomes available. Hopefully the baby will attempt "coming out" on his own!
Any news today TU4V? I hope your niece goes on her own soon. :)

Hey Nana, is that kid doing quantum physics yet????
Not yet kitty he's still workin' on keeping his eyes open for more than 5 minutes (poor bee bee)

Copy of Jack 10-25-2011 001.jpg My sleeping bee bee

Jack 10-25-2011 004.jpg Anita if you find those red boots for these big hoofers send 'em on up! Can you believe how long those toes are???????? (cute toes tho)
And look at the GPS tracker on his ankle, my daughter has the other on her ankle----nobody gonna make a quick getaway with this cutie pie.

An induction was done, and after several hours they begged her to take an epidural, and after some back labor, she relented. No name, just BABY BOY for now!

I became a Great Aunt when he arrived at 8:40 pm weighing 7lb 11oz. He'll be measured tomorrow.
