DD has been out on a sailing expedition, I was going to go down to the wharf when I said the boat go past. Problem is, I can't see the other side of the river, so I may not see the boat
... and that's exactly what happened - with a twist. After I'd posted the above, I went back upstairs and the weather had cleared. I could see the far shore again, and there was a sailing ship - sailing away from the port. Confused, I decided they must've come in but decided to go out again because the weather changed. I didn't see them come back in, so I decided to do a couple of errands then go to the wharf. As soon as I got to the wharf I got a call asking whether I was going to pick her up. 
Yep, they'd sailed into port while the weather was bad, passing another sailing vessel going out of port - the one I saw. Who knew there was more than one square rigger in town? All's well though, DD was on such a high from her week at sea, and not at all fussed that I was late.
Morning everyone.... I really hate working Saturdays
I pulled a dumb one last night.... every night when I leave the shop I turn the thermostat down to 64...well with the heat and humidity hubby had turned on the air and it was like walking into a cooler here this morning
Katz..sounds like your daughter had a great trip...and glad you figured the tire situation out so it could be corrected.
Everyone have a great weekend.....unfortunately for me it will be filled with work...

Good evening everyone! I have just watched the most amazing, huge, orange moon-rise. Beautiful! Apparently the moon passed as close to the earth as it will for the year sometime yesterday, and tonight we should get a very high tide as a result.
Received 2 x V4L orders today. Red & Magenta soft-touch titan XL batteries, more Nuport, and a few tanks bits. Must say that V4L (much as I love y'all) often leave bits out of orders, this time a few bottles of juice. I'm sure they'll get that fixed though.
After more than a year, I still love getting my V4L orders, it's almost always a thrill. Except when I just get boring stuff like blank cartos.

Great weekend. Kids loved her proms. Wife and I got the underfloor heat, travertine down and grouted, New shower base installed, rough in plumbing done, and all the concrete board installed in the new master bath shower!!!!
Oh and I saw Avengers in IMAX!!!! Was so awesome!!!!

Good afternoon all! I am less then 48 hours out from leaving for my next fire festival. It is in Ohio which is about 13 hours away by car for me, BUT I get to make a special stop at the Smokeless Lounge and finally see everyone at V4L which I am amped!
Trying to catch up and strive to be more active... Morandir Sir hope you are feeling better Prednisolone (sic) is a mean little steroid. It certainly does its job but when I was on it, I gained a lot of weight.

Hi V4L family. I'm the newest member to such a large and growing family and I've been checking this thread for some time now. I love the name of the thread "Family Chat" because there are very few industries in which the consumers are as active as us. I say "us" because I'm a member of the family and I'm embracing it.
I'm Bam (BHam), I work for V4L and I love my job. I love the family that I spend 40+ hours with a week. I'm here to keep you guys in the loop on whats current with V4L and to make sure no one left behind.
I'm starting a push for family again! I've looked at many of Steve's old ECF posts and he always offered to do ANYTHING to make you guys smile, and I am extending that same offer. I started my own thread (BHam's Bodacious Bonanza) where I want to promote engagement amongst ourselves and keep our family intact and more importantly growing.
You will see some fun games and contests and I will always update you all on new product, stock updates and other news. I'm also there to help with any order issues or any questions and concerns. I want to get back to what Steve started.

Brandon, that was a wonderful post. I'm glad you're working at V4L.
Nothing much new here except that physical therapy has just begun. Unfortunately, no pain no gain. The good news is that I'm waaaaaaaay ahead of the post-op game compared to the right shoulder two years ago. Range of motion is light years better and the therapist is considering reducing 3 days per week to two. I'm happy with that.
