yeah, I'm kinda in and out because I'm cooking dinner, so Clover is all alone for the most part. While she's an excellent conversationalist, it's hard for her to keep up both parts at once...
ok, just got done reading the crap du jour...
I kind of like the randomness and off-topic posts...it's more like the way people really talk to each other instead of being bound to the post title and so structured.

I think that people are up in arms about deflection. Some of us (myself especially) tried to deflect some of the anger in certain threads by being a bit silly. I guess it upset some other people now.....and on and on the forum drama goes.
Deflection is a common form of dealing with other's angry feelings. And it works...that's why I have used it for so long.
My psychiatrist can't stop me from doing it and I suppose that a few people slapping my hand in a forum won't stop me either. It's my codependent personality. That's what I am blaming it on.

you're absolutely right, nevadabadgirl....i've done that all my life, too. when someone gets aggravated I used to try and reason with them -- but usually a good joke or doing something silly will lighten the mood.
