Sorry I'm late. Was at work and then all the distractions of coming home. Anyway...no one will probably read this until tomorrow but I wanted to share the excitement that's going on down here. I thnk it's kind of amazing how some parts of the Country can be completely devistated and the rest of the country has no idea. Thats not really what's going on here, but it's pretty exciting for us (exciting doesn't = good does it?)
So I live in Houston, but most of my family lives in the Galveston area. There was a chemical leak down that way (Texas City to be exact) at one of the chemical plants. Everyone has been told to "shelter in place". The news reported that the level of toxicity in the air is so high that the meters can't even detect how much chemical is in the air. They aren't allowing anyone into the city. And my parents live in Galveston where they are not only having to shelter in place but they also have a level 5 emergency water restriction. A water main broke and so they are running short on water.
I'm doing fine in Houston, but it's crazy that 40 miles away this is going on...and I wouldn't have known about it except that my mom sent me a text.
Hope everyone has a great night! I'm going to try to do some more catching up
