I just got back from the surgeon in Miami. We left at 6am and its 7pm now, long day.All I can say is they have to redo the surgery. The infection and mass are back.At least the bones are already cut and hopefully they dont need to remove any more bone.I honestly cant freakin believe it and Im feeling kind of confused and frustrated. They also said they have to space the surgery to 6 months apart which puts me going in on January 11th.That means not only do I have to go through all the physical pain and dizziness and crapola all over again but it also puts me in for another HUGE deductible insurance wise.Im just so fed up at the moment. Its not like I can NOT do it.I have to.But WTH!! W T H !!

Thank you for letting me rant.Ill get over it but probably not tonight, lol! (((Hugs!)))

Kezy...that sucks... is there somewhere you can get a second opinion from? I know the answer might be the same..but what I hate is the doctors have all of the power because we don't totally understand what the heck they are talking about or doing to us in the first place. Can't they understand the insurance thing, certainly the 11 days can't make that much of a difference.

We love you......and try to relax a little tonight.

Im going to call on Monday and argue the insurance point with them.I just cant go through another huge medical debt right now.Its already killing us,lol.I was just to overwelmed to get into it when they told me.I guess they just didnt get it all and it happens so theres no sense in being mad at him.He is a good surgeon and my Nuerologists said he is one of the best in this area.So Im just going to try to have faith.

this is one of many reasons I hate HMO. Our insurance is ridiculous too. We have 20% coinsurance, $40 regular visit, $50 specialist plus 20% of whatever they don't pay for extra services. even my allergy shots are $18/visit.. which if I went like I was supposed to would be $72/mo but I only go once every two weeks so it's $36. plus the kids immunizations aren't 100% covered, and even their well child is $40.

and we have the best my husband's company can offer :glare:

I feel ya girl. I'm so sorry this is happening. As if it weren't bad enough.. remind me.. what is this/how did it start?

I had an infection and the doctors kept saying it was fine or giving me antibiotics and eventually over a period of 4 years the infection had spread to my tissue, muscle and skull surrounding my ear and I lost almost all of my hearing. It also caused a tumor/mass behind my parotid gland. Finally a neurologists that a friend got me in to see found the infection after doing several cat and MRI scans. She sent me to a ENT who insisted it was only allergies,LOL!I had to go back to the neurologist and she sent me to a surgeon who said the infection had spread in my head and was very close to the blood brain barrier and needed surgery right away. Then my Hubs suddenly had a heart problem and needed a 5way bypass so I had to wait 3 more months for my surgery and take care of him and by then I was pretty sick,LOL!!That it in a nut shell. Its been a long year for us.
