LOL!!

So my teeth are pretty good actually except I have a grinding problem which is chipping my front teeth so I have to get a bite guard.

And

Two wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow morning.

Oh no! Same side? Will you be awake for it? I had all four taken out at once in '07 and had to have general anesthesia for that. Plenty of soreness and pain meds followed.

what slightly goth outfit... I formally a request pictures!
and yes Thanksgiving is thursday... Turkey, Potatoes, Football "American style" and my favorite Pie!

p.s. I have a friend who performs down on the Gold Coast... he is a fire performer https://www.facebook.com/justiceofdragons

LOL Whistles, no pictures were taken. Slightly goth, in that it was all black. Black shoes, black socks, black leggings with silver studs, black dress, black over dress with silver studs, black loose jacket. I wear black a lot, but this particular combination just had that look about it.
Your friend looks like an interesting guy, into all sorts of interesting things. That area is a great place for him to be.

Morandir. I had read about this dry socket - basically. I pulled out a nicotine patch in hopes that I could at least make it most of the day tomorrow without vaping - or not vaping much at least. I had read that you could get a piece of gauze real wet and put it in the holes while vaping (although this was about smoking) and then moisten it again before taking it out. I think this might be especially more "dangerous" with vaping since it dries out the mouth so bad already. Any more tips on keeping my safety? And what is dry socket anyway?

That's pretty much the best tip Ms. Randapanda, though do suggest using a battery with a very airy draw. It's not actually the socket drying out, it's the blood clot coming out of the hole where the tooth used to be. When that happens it causes the jaw bone to become inflamed, not to mention be exposed to the bacteria in your mouth.

Long day and haven't totally read postings but skimmed them ...
Panda ,patch is good idea ,try your best to wait as long as poss before vaping .I've had two pulled at once ,not that bad ,just a hassle :( but i dont think you will want to do anything but lay down cause its stressful so I don't think you'll want to dance .You'lll still have cotton in your mouth anyway .

Smoked and vaped afterwards Ms. Randapanda. When my first tooth was removed waited a few days before smoking again (patch was used), when I had my wisdom teeth removed waited a day to vape on the first two, on the second two just used the gauze method from the start.

thats cause youre a hardcore dude ...sheesh ......;)

I'm one of those that requires extra half the time ....but my dentist is so awesome you can barely feel the needle .
I have to buy some vodka now ( as in holiday weekend ) because my hubby found 4 beautiful old perfect martini glasses from his parents ...old classic shape .:)But ,he can't join in because of the stupid gout .
I think my problem is i have had almost zero alcohol in so many months .Time to celebrate 2011 being almost dead :)

O.T.
to those of you who are having a tough time thru these holidays ( been there where you are ) and i know that unfortunately many of our family members here are going to have it rough :
I send my strength to you .IMHO ....do something different ,take a drive ,go to a movie ,go out for dinner vs .having the sadness of the holiday at home ,surround yourself with people who understand and can laugh with you ,or make you laugh !
Do something for an elderly family friend ,or any friend that you dont have to do ,get the focus off yourself and when you need to grieve ..go ahead and let yourself .It will get better and we love you here too.
I was "forced " to go ahead with christmas one year when a parent had passed .My son understood ,but nobody else .
I needed to grieve ,not put on airs .I should have demanded that time as mine .While this technique of coping will work for some of you ,it will not work for all .I wanted to just "be " and that would have been ok .
Just remember ,if you are in this space take YOUR time on your terms ,do what YOU need to do .
I had to write this .....because i know how it feels .xo loves

Same side. Only novocaine. And then I have dance an hour later. :D

OH NO YOU DON'T. (Unless you really like to bleed and possibly faint dead onto the floor.) Trust me. Go straight home and lie down. All the rest of the day!

Prayers for your quick recovery, and NO dry sockets! :)

Eleanor is totally right...oral surgery is STILL surgery and you need to take the proper steps to ensure a healthy recovery :)

Waylon, thank you for your kind thoughts :) It certainly does seem like the year is closing badly for many members of the forum and we can only hope for brighter tomorrows :) I think it's going to be a good new year for us :) We'll certainly have a few extra coins in our pockets because we've shed an expensive addiction :) Also, I drink my sodas from elegant glasses like you describe...just more fun and taste slightly more festive :) Have him try a H20-tini...sparkling water with a slice of lemon or lime over crushed ice :)

Keyzy, you have been on my mind all day...hang in there, dear lady, something good has to be coming your way soon :) I am so sorry to hear about your father...my suggestion is to ask his doctor for samples or write to the drug manufacturers for some kind of relief for the cost of his medications <sigh> It's criminal that so many people have to choose between drugs
and food and rent...absolutely criminal :( I know these are only temporary measures and will take time to implement, if they happen at all, but outside of supplemental insurance there's very little redress any more <triple sigh> One positive note, you have friends here to help share your burden...always :)

M'dir...pain...it's a crock! Arthritis has kept me awake for a couple of nights...hence my at-all-hours posts so I am sending healing thoughts your way :) It's a crime that barometric pressure can cause so much havoc :( Hope the weather and your health stabilize soon :)
