I would never use a tank on an auto, they have too many leaking issues
I am confused on this statement.
What exactly do you mean by TANK ?
Is not a clearomizer and a ce3 a tank ?
my self i do not like the manual batterys in 78mm or X2's,,they seem to burn the coils faster to me.
every time i use the manuals on clearomizers,Ce3's or regular cartos i get a burnt taste,,so i will never buy manuals again and no i don't hold the buttons down to long.
people claim that you have more control with the manuals,,i don't believe that.

No, clearomizers are generally not considered a tank, even the vivi nova. A clearomizer is generally a cartomizer that is clear and most of the time uses some sort of wick system instead of filler.
Tanks generally consist if a cartomizer and a plastic or glass (sometimes metal) tube that goes around the cartomizer. The cartomizer has holes or slots punched into it on the side. The carto sticks out if the bottom of the tank and is screwed into the battery like a normal carto. You would slide this plastic or glass "tank" over it and then fill the tank with juice. The juice then feeds the carto through punched holes, keeping the filler inside it wet. Basically it is just continually topping off your carto. The problem with these, asides from the fact that you are still dealing with a carto that clogs and mutes flavor, is that they are very prone to leaking. Usually it just an "o" ring or gasket sealing the carto where it goes through the opening in the bottom of the tank. If the gasket or O ring doesn't seal perfectly, or if you hit the plastic tank and bang it around just a little, the juice pours out. We're not talking about a couple of stops either. Those tanks hold up to 5ml of juice.
I understand what you are saying about the manual. The reason people say you have more control is because you can press the button first to heat up the coil to get more vapor right away. With an auto, it can't heat the coil until you puff, so it takes an extra half second to second to get the same vapor. Think of a stove top. A manual battery would be like turning the burner on and putting a pot on it after it is warmed up. An automatic would be like putting the pot on and then turning the burner on.
The problem with the manual is that it is a learned technique. the juice can only be fed into the coil so fast. Whether you use a carto or a wick system, the area around the coil vaporizes, drys and then the juice around it moves to that area. If you press the button too early before vaping, you can dry out that area and get a burnt taste before even vaping. Or on the other hand, if you press just a second to long while vaping, you get a burnt taste. They put out the same watts, it's just one is heated up already so you actually need a shorter puff on a manual. That's hard to get used to since we are used to taking the same length drag every time (it's like muscle memory)
Good thing is, both are available so we get to chose which we like best.
Wow, this turned out to be a long post, sorry about that
