V4L vs Volt!

One is going to become a christmas gift the other I am keeping, help me decide which one! Got two starter kits here, both with a manual and an auto batt (got the sealed one in the Volt)

List advantages and disadvantages to each here and lets see who comes out on top. Me and brother as of new years will be quiting smoking (he just doesnt know it yet lol) so lets hear it who prefers what and why

I think the Volt is a better system. I did start out with the V4L stuff (and it did get me off gretzkys) but found better vaping with mods but everyone's vaping journey is different. The cynic in me thinks V4L is starting their own forum to filter the message somewhat, just my opinion......

Volt, Bloog, Cig2o, & others have their cartos made in the same factory. Most of the KR8 models have the same horizontal coil carto design. I don't think there is really much of a difference from that aspect. Some companies offer higher mAh batteries, & that's the game changer.

There's no real answer Deathwhitch (sir or Ms.?). Volt uses gen 2 kr808's, which means they're regulated to around 3.6v and use horizontal coil cartos. V4l uses gen 1 and vertical coil cartos. Those who love gen 2 stuff will tell you volt, those who love gen 1 will say v4l. What matters most is what works for you.

I was trying to break down the stats, I love the sealed batt, but V4L says the WOW cartos offer a better thicker vape (dont know they should arrive today) I had the premium cartos with V4L and they seem to not produce as thick a vape at all.

One thing I did notice (and im still new to all this) is that the cartos from Volt wont work on V4L batts and vise versa, they both are 808 but when I connect them they dont work, Im not sure why. If I could find a way around this I would get my manual from V4l and my Auto from Volt and just use both lol

Really just trying to break it down to pros and cons of both to make my own decision as right now I cannot decide. Maybe after the WOW carts arrive I can better decide

Volt does seem to be a higher quality product as far as batt, look and design go but I know thats not everything so I wanted a more educated opinion from someone who had tried both and knows the pros and cons

Deathwhitch sir if you're using a cool cart on a volt you won't get good results at all. Vertical coils like more voltage, especially higher ohmed ones. Volt batts only put out 3.6v, where v4l batts start around 4.2v at start. Horizontal coils burn juice at anything over 3.7v in most cases, hence the lower voltage of the gen 2's. While they're both kr808's they're two very different vaping experiences.

well thank you, thats the kind of info i was looking for, yeah i have cool carts but getting the wow ones today, hope they are different. Be nice if i keep the best of both worlds here

No problem Deathwhitch sir. Wow's still aren't going to do as well as they will with an unregulated kr808, but the performance will be improved over the cool cart.

all of my cartos (from a BUNCH of different vendors) don't work right out of the box (you have to raise the post) with the Volt batteries. The V4L Premium cartos make some of my juice taste better (because of lower ohms) but the V4L batts don't last as long with their cartos.

Gen 2 kr808's are regulated to around 3.6v Deathwhitch sir. Gen 1 batts start around 4.2v depending on the vendor and the batt and work their way down with use.

so if i raise my volt batt post it will work with the v4l cartos? cause i really like this sealed auto batt and if the wowvapor is as good as they claim that'd be awesome

ok just got the wow stuff i ordered and I have a quick noob question. They sent me a drip tip, im not sure what it does exactly or how to use it lol

well the WOW carts produce no noticable vapor difference from the cool carts and all the ones I got taste like .... I got a tobbacco shop sampler, the cocktail sampler and cowboy menthol, not happy at all with this order. To top at off they sent me a auto passthrough instead of the manual I ordered. but customer support is sending out the right one and letting me keep the auto. shame i have no use for now as I have decided to go with colt and give away the V4L to my brother. Im dissapointed here

Just take off the end cap from your carto and put the drip tip on. It makes it easier to refill your cartos that way.

The V4L batteries last quite awhile and one you find some juice you like and fill cartos yourself you'll probably like it. Or I hope your brother does. Get him some empty cartos and good juice and let them fill himself.

I would first try to raise the carto instead of the battery. Better to ruin a carto than the battery.

Like swedishfish said, get a couple and blank carts and some e-juice and fill them up yourself. Those V4L pre-fill carts are to be honest, NASTY!, I know, I brought the kit last year and as you, had that bad experience with the taste...The taste was so bad I got a headache and a bad lingering taste in my mouth for days...Don't try it again!..
