Ocelot you neeed to practice ... bottom goes on 75% of the way first then top goes on completely. Then the bottom grommet gets fitted the rest of the way. Takes like 30 seconds. :sly: I prefer grommets to be honest.
Though I'm excited about my silver caps.

What he said... beat me to it.
If you're trying to hot swap cartos in a grommet tank, that's an exercise in frustration. They're meant to be disassembled, cleaned and reassembled.

How do you guys clean your punched boge cartos? I used to clean my 808s by boiling them, rinsing, boiling again then letting dry a few days. Can i use the same method?

Yup, the same thing works.
Personally I no longer bother. I rarely felt like it was restored well enough to before use.
A 5 pack costs about the same as a pack of analogs, I never worried about setting a pack + of those on fire per day.

Isn't it just a coil issue? or is it truly DOA? I always assumed a little fiddling would fix it though I'm not a patient man..

hahaha i gave my friend some cartos. he said he tried to condom fill one, and said juice spilled everywhere and the draw was impossible. i had no idea what he was talking about. i went to his house, checked it out. he didn't take the white rubber piece out. he tried to fill it with that, put it into the tank, tried to prime it and jammed his drip tip in. he thought the rubber was the filler lol. ended up taking it out and he jammed the coil enough to disconnect one end. what a doofy

It's definitely defective. When it fires like that it burns the polyfill and you can't fix that.
