So this evening, after a long day of drudgery (read: work), I come home and decide it's time to make some new VVv tanks for the wife and me. I gather all the supplies - 4 tanks with all the trimmings, some of which need to be cleaned, 4 cartos, and 4 bottles of wicked-liquid (my nick, not an actual juice). On my way to vape nirvana.
But then it's time to punch the cartos. Dash it all, my hand just isn't doing it today. I look for a proper socket and get back to it. For some reason it's a bear getting them punched correctly; I punch, loosen and look, punch again, repeat ad infinitum (not really, but it seemed like it). Whew, done. Now it's time to put the tanks together. Oh nice, now the grommets are being fiddly, the cartos are slipping, just arrrgghh. Ok, now I am ready. Sweet Flying Spaghetti Monster, this was a PIA.
Now Ray's tanks are the bomb. And they are not difficult, nor much of a PIA. But today... today I think of Ray.
Ray, sitting in his workshop doing what I've just done in 20 minutes, but doing it all day and into the evening. Nights, yes. Weekends, yes. His hands aching over the carto punch. His fingertips throbbing from pushing in the grommets. Just the general stuff, but repeated over and over and... Yeah.
Here's to Ray, who goes out of his way to make a better vaping day - for the rest of us. Join me in his praise. And next time you decide to have him punch cartos for you, perhaps consider a carto-punch instead. If that's not possible, at least raise a glass in his honor.

The hardest part about slowing down and getting caught up is starting back up at full speed. LOL
Luckily I do have someone who's going to be doing some piece work for me starting next week. That should help quite a bit.
