I ordered a Vamo 2 because I vape a lot and I grew tired of charging my ego twists and Vision Spinners :) First Vamo came after 5 days it broke. The vendor said send it back and he replaced it. After 4 days the center post got pushed down by an airflow controller and the o ring came out. I found a link on how to replace the o ring and I did and it works now. Great... or not :( the vendor suggested I get the Segelei Zmax instead. Has anyone got any input on the SEGELEI ZMAX3 telescopic? I have heard that it is built better. I am so irritated with this Vamo that is what I get for buying a cheap product. Help me I am confused do not know what to replace it with. If I am having problems after 5 days ( twice) I should consider the seg zmax or any other suggestions?

I was just in a thread where someone recommended the Zmax over the Vamo and was about to flame them (you know who you are Ocelot)

I've had my Vamo almost as long as I have been vaping and never had any issues. But the Zmax is well regarded and although it won't offer any additional features, some seem to prefer it.

If you want to spend the big bucks and get an American made mod, get a... wait a sec, get a REO or a decent mech like a Super T ELA (sorry I am being a little flippant, someone will be along shortly to say get a Provari and all made in china mods are crap)

I have a Vamo and a Bobo (which is a Zmax in a different body). The Vamo I have is okay, but doesn't feel well made. It's top heavy and falls over a lot and the gasket/o-ring you mentioned came chewed up and I image it won't last long. It also fell over on a padded table top, bumped another mod and the screen now has a little crack. I bought the Bobo just for laughs (it's quite silly looking), but was amazed by it's build and performance - I wasn't expecting it at all. I like the screen, menu much better than the Vamo and the button feels like my ProVari. I'm considering get a Zmax mini to add to my growing collection. I have become a Sigelei fangirl.

I don't think gear from China is cr@p - 90% of everything I use is from China. If someone has never had a mod before, the Vamo is fine, but if you have something to compare it with, maybe not so fine. What do I know? I have a ProVari. :D

ETA: I'd like a Reo, but it's not in my price range. I have a cool little box mod though.

I know, I know. I just need to get a Provari and be done with it. And I probably will... I was fishing for you Ocelot and you know it :D

I thought you won that Bobo in a mod envy giveaway, I didn't know you paid cold hard cash for it.

Just to not hijack the thread, I'll add, I am looking at a new mod / apv right now and I have the Zmax (esp as you can now get the V3 that is telescopic) on my short-list. But that short-list is getting longer and longer. I just keep reading the forums, watching youtube and learning more and more. The more I think about it, the more I believe I should just save up and get the mech I have always wanted, or an MVP, or a SVD or a... you get the idea.

Sometimes I think I should just get another Vamo and save my pennies for that Provari.

ETA - you can get the Zmax V3 for about $53 which is a pretty good deal from a US vendor here http://www.vaportekusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Zmax-Tele&Click=770

I know'd youse was catfishing :D I never tell anyone to get ProVari - I don't need to. People can figure out by themselves if they want one or not.

You didn't read my super cool Bobo review??? It the only one I know of online! I'm very proud of it. Vape Mail - The Bobo Affair

So sorry OP but this needs to be said. Consider my post below in parenthesis as this has nothing to do with your comment.

I read the whole blog post review of the bobo - how anyone can get the words bourgeois and bohemian in a review of an APV (no matter how weird) is beyond me. Outstanding Ocelot, bravo.

Thank you very much, but I would have thought portmanteau was the word to get me extra points.

Hiya - first thing I notice in you're post is that you got it working. I've seen people have issues with different pvs because of tightening things down on the centre post. I get the sense the airflow controller maybe went on too tight?
Sigelei Zmax is ok - its the same chip as the Vamo, but the body build is sturdier. The telescoping Zmax has been getting good reports and is convenient for vaping with different size batts. I'm getting an Innokin SVD myself - also a sturdy vv/vw mod that telescopes. The Innokin is long in 18650 mode tho - a bit longer than a Vamo. Not sure how long the telescoping Zmax is - reasonable size I think.
BTW - Neither of my Vamos are top heavy - they are both quite sturdy and don't fall over. I have accidentally sent one flying off a table and the vivi attached ended up jammed on top sideways. Had to wrench it straight to unscrew it. Centre post still works. Vivi too.

TY all so much!!!!
The vendor I purchased the Vamo 2 from is only offering a store credit ( and I am grateful for that), I paid around $55 for the Vamo2 ( just the body) anyway, He only has the segelei zmax and the Innokin svd with vv/vw options which (I really don't even care about the wattage really). I only use the Vamo 2 at home... when it works so, size isn't really an issue. Build quality is. I really appreciate all of your input tyvm

Yes, get the Sigelei V3. As kiwivap says it's the same chip and the same display on the Vamo V3 (and not the V2), but the quality is better, and it telescopes, so short/long, out and about battery life/all day battery life, or anywhere in between. Like the Vamo, it will take most popular toppers including Kangers. I have the Vamo's and the Sigelei V2, Mini and V3. Wife loves the Vamo V3 with the rhinestones by the way...awful perdy...Good luck and Vape On!

P.S. I went to pull the trigger on a Semovar this morning from Cloud 9 Vaping, which was finally open again, but I want it in Satin SS. If I am going to spend $300 on a full kit, I want the finish I want. They only had semi-polished. And that after a brilliant discussion with the wife on why I needed it. Anyway, can't wait for it to come back in. I notice all the pictures have it in Satin finish with the Kayfun and it looks amazing.
