I bought four vamo's from vaporbreak. They arrived today and two were defective! One has the bottom cap screwed on at a 30 degree angle. It's tight enough that I can't get it off by hand. I'm sure the threads are totaled. The 510 connection is too low on the other defective one. It prevents larger diameter attys from screwing down far enough to make electrical contact. I was able to swap parts and get three working units out of my order but I am not happy about being sent two defective units out of four.

It would cost a minimum of $13 to send the defective vamo back to China so I'm not going to bother RMA'ing it.

On the upside, they all vape better than my Gripper VV and Ovale/Segelei v8. The bum units really took the enjoyment out of getting a new device though. :(

you should atleast ask for a partial refund of some sort or atleast try to contact them and have them offer you a solution. Worst case scenario is to escalate it to paypal if no solution is found. Unless you're loaded and do not care for 60 bucks.

What happened in China is that all the Chinese factory workers cme back from their month-long vaction for Chinese New Year. The entire country pretty much shuts down for a month for New Years over there...

They don't bother to do a good job of explaining that at Vapor Break. They are not handling my orders well at all, and are not responding to an issue with a defective item. Had me send a video of the problem. I did so but was not happy about that either. Never was asked to do that anywhere else. I told them they should shut the site down till they can better handle orders.

They wanted me to do the same thing with a doa vamo they sold me. I told them I wasn't able to do that, video that is. I could have spent the money to ship it back, but chances are I would get nothing back from them. It's just not worth it, sooner or later you will get screwed, trust me.

Well, as I wrote in my post, I took the good bottom cap and bottom tube from the unit with the bad 510 connection so I now have three working units and one "double defective" unit with a messed up bottom cap and a bad 510 connection. That cuts my loss to $30. I figure the circuit board in the "double defective" one is worth something ($10-15) so I'm down to a loss of $15-20.

Vaporbreak's policy is that defective units must be returned. It costs $13 to send a vamo back to China. Going to the post office and filling out customs forms is a major PITA. It's just not worth my time.

Other people should be warned though! You are playing russian roulette if you order from vaporbreak. They are obviously not looking at vamo's before shipping them. There is no way anyone could look at a unit with a bottom cap cross-threaded at a 30 degree angle and think "Yea, that looks ok."

Looking at the deal from a purely economic point of view I still did well. I ended up with three stainless vamos and an extra vamo circuit board for $120 including shipping. I would have to pay $110 + shipping for two vamos from the cheapest US vendor I know of. Despite that, I'm still annoyed that two out of four of my units were defective.

I've run across this few years back with a Chinese flashlight vendor, any issues he wanted a video showing the problem. Unlike VB, he had excellent service & was a frequent contributor in forums .... and explained in a PM that his supplier would accept an end-user's video as proof of a DOA, so no need to do RMAs, and cross-shipping products across the globe.

Not sure if this is the case with VaporBreak.... and is by no means an endorsement of VB's total lack of customer service .... but I've run into this video proof thing before.

It's here! I did the magnet test. Didn't stick to most of the body (Obviously the bottom cap and where the electronics are it sticks). Put it on No.2, switched to Watts, slapped on a carto tank.

Works perfect. Phew. Plus I've got a crap ton of needle bottles.

Hope those of you who were having troubles get your products/resolutions soon. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365105161.298734.jpg

My Vamo V2 from VB finally arrived. As shown in a picture, it's weirdly not 100% straight but, as I tested, it worked anyway.
VAMO V2 SS is HUGE and Heavier than I expected. I think if I hit someone with my VAMO V2 SS, it could make a big trouble. :)

Package was not damaged or so. The problem is Vapor Break forgot to send two cones for 6ml tank clearomizers I ordered together ($2 value).
I left a message to VB.
OMG! Sorry Vapor Break! I've just found the cones....They were in the padding slip. My apologizes!

P.S. Does anyone have a good suggestion to make my VAMO V2 Straight? I think I could simply hammer it or hit it but, am afraid of damaging the LCD and the controller part.

Unless you took a video of opening the package you are probably sol on the cones.

I think it's a tight press fit. Mine got wonky when I kept tapping it to get the chip seated properly, at least that's what I think needed to be done. The tube did get crooked but I just pushed it back in the center, if that makes any sense.
I've taken my SS Vamo apart to refinish it. The top cap is tightly press-fit, and I think the top 2 sections of the body are press-fit but I couldn't get them apart (not necessary for my purposes). It's possible that they have used metal glue on this section, or it just might be super tight. If you take a hammer to the Vamo, be very careful to not hammer directly onto the connector in the top cap. It won't take it well at all. I personally wouldn't use a hammer, especially if you've waited so long to get it. You might be able to straighten it with just your hand strength, carefully. I would start there. Good Luck.

Just wanted to share that today my Vamo finally arrived after 28 days of placing my order. I did place another order with them a few days after ordering my vamo so hopefully that shipment will come as well. Good luck to all that havent recieved theirs yet, and congrats to those that have. After waiting this long to receive it and reading about people that have received defective ones, I will not order from them again.

Get a cloth, wrap it around the Vamo and then put it in a bench vise and tighten it till it's straight

    This makes me laugh:

So with 4 English speaking staff, we still get no replies to e mails and the chat system they have on the site no-one is ever on there to chat to

Yeah, probably just more BS. I've been trying for hours today to get someone on the chat, and I didn't get a single response.

Karen joined the chat once, but never responded, and then just went offline.

What's the point of hiring 4 new people (supposedly) if there's still never anyone online to chat with?
