I'm considering a lavatube vv650 i know vamo's better but i'm on a budget. But really all this hassle to save 0-10$ on vamo do a quick search vamo v2 i found several for 49.99 and down to 39$ at exhale. ?? Am i missing something. BTW i bought my first kit from ecigforever and have bought several different products to save $. But not 5$ to wait 2-3+ weeks... LOL.. I guess it is bigger saving w kit. But u can buy a comparable 2 18650 battery /charger setup ebay U.S. shipped $7-10. I see forgot about sign in.....but lavatube stayed the same.....LOL

Finally found Karen online this morning and informed her of my more than 6 week wait. Here's her response. Let's see how it pans out.....

My Vapor Break Vamo has stopped working and I use the one I got from vapor Alley now. After trouble with the 510 connector shorting I am now having a problem with it staying on the whole time a battery is in. Will not shut off unless I remove the battery. This is one more nail in the Vapor Break coffin for me. I know it could just be a defective one from their supplier, but there have been too many issues with VB to buy from them again. They really are a gamble.

Sorry to hear that, Sober. I hoped the insulator fix would do the trick. You might be able to sell it in the classifieds for parts or sell it to someone who wants to tinker and recover some of the costs.

If you make an account at VB, price drops to $27, cheapest around.

I did. Alot of people r having trouble with vamo alot of what i've been seeing is connector seal problems. Think if i buy one i'll put a sealed 510/ego adapter on it w some thread lock on 510 that way i'm not working that center pin a it'll be hard for juice to get in it. I've been on fence researching what advanced pv i'd want if i had the money it'd be tesla. But that is hell of a price.

510/ego adapters have caused some of the seal problems by pushing the pin into the insulator. The insulator then fails and causes a short. Just thought I'd mention it...

Yeah i had heard that and that people have been using these to fix faulty ones 510 Threaded Connector Insulators - Avid Vaper. makes me want to wait and buy a tesla or something of better quality. Some one should put out a hobby grade line w part support. I'm seriously considering just building a vv box utta something i've sourced alot of cool parts but no step up voltage and v wattage boards.

Never ever go cheap on batteries or chargers. You're putting this inches from your face.

I did further research last night on appropriate battery's. I had previously been looking at 18650 battery's for a vv box. I now have 4-5 high drain imr and others batteries saved to list. I'd love to get hold of a vv/vw board but have only found vv. I dig diy been building/repairing rc's 12 years.

Best deal I've found for good 18650's is the Panasonic CGR18650CH from Fasttech. I use these, along with some 18350 AWs in my vamos & mech mods. The board you may be looking for for a killer vv/vw diy mod is the DNA20D found here: Our Products « Evolv. Amazing board, excellent display, used by many in the mods section of the forum.

Agreed and seconded, every word...
Though I don't possess the skills yet to build a mod. I'm working on it :thumb:

Right on i have them battery's in my cart from last night w a charger Fst.couple people said they had used em but i was'nt sure for vamo a couple places had em listed @ 64.5mm L so i was'nt sure. No price on board n out of stock but that gives me a lead n name. Might just wire up a few vv boards before i hit that i was thinking Vw and vv w knurled turn dials on a steam punk metal coffin box imma check the mod sec thanks for info.

Was just there a few nites ago, was in stock, think it was about $50 or so if I remember right. One of the options is one can use rheostat dials instead of pushbuttons for vv/vw adjustments, nice touch for a steampunk mod.

I got my ss Vamo today after only 8 days, all the way to Charlotte. I love this thing. I made sure it was in NO2 mode, set it at 8w, 1.8ohm carto tank, and am rolling. It even outvapes my vv Gripper. It does sound like a Rattlesnake though. Oh, and it did include a user manual.
I did just get it from VB but it seems to be built like a tank. My carto tank sits straight and is slightly elevated for venting. I like the ss finish and it vapes like a beast.

Congrats hvac!! :toast: Loads and loads of luscious vapor here on mine. I had heard that vaporbreak had hired some new employees and was making some positive changes. I've got the proof right here in my hands :vapor:

Wow, that was fast. The Vamo does feel solid, almost like a weapon:) If you want to get rid of the rattle, consider wrapping it:
