Just got done chatting with Karen... I demanded a refund since I waited the extra 3 days she said it would take for my package to arrive, and I still hadn't received it. She told me that I had to wait 3-4 more days from now (go figure) so that VB could contact China Post to find out where my package is. I told her no, I wouldn't do that and that I want my money back now. I told her that every time I chat with her, she just tells me to wait longer, but doesn't actually do anything. She said that I'd have to wait anyway.

I then told her that I had escalated the PP dispute to a claim. Thought that maybe that would entice her to give me my money back, since it's going to happen eventually anyway. Nope. She didn't have anything else to say, except to confirm that I had opened a dispute and had about 20 days before I could get my money back anyway. I assume that she was thinking that they have an additional 20 days or so to figure out where my package is, get it to me, and close the claim, but I doubt that's going to happen.

This entire situation is just ridiculous.

Meanwhile, my fasttech order arrived about 10 days after I placed the order.

Here's hoping my claim will get reviewed sooner rather than later with PP so I can get my money back and order from a good seller...

So when's your next order with them? Just kidding, I feel for you as I went thru the same bs with them to a degree. Paypal should come thru for you if you have tracking info etc. I'm done with them, you're done with them and everyone that keeps ordering from them will be done with them sooner or later, probably sooner than later.
BTW I like fast tech also much better service. I bought some panasonic batteries from them and a nice little butane torch (like $4 shipped) for making ss mesh wicks.

Yeah. I was one of the lucky ones and got mine ok, but wouldn't order from them again. In fact, Fasttech is the only Chinese vendor I will use in the future. Too much potential grief for a few bucks.

Yeah, I totally agree. It's kind of like flipping a coin. You may get lucky a few times, but sooner or later, you'll get burned.

I ordered the Cobra RBA for about $8 from FastTech, plus a couple other smaller items. Got the Cobra setup on my Vamo (from ExhaleVapors). Tried dry firing the coil and it lit on fire. Lol. I was going to replace it anyway, so I didn't care. Replaced the coil and am now enjoying it at 1.4ohm. For $8, I can't complain. If I didn't already have some of the Panasonic 18650s, I'd order some more from them. I may order some more soon anyway. They're like $5 a piece. Can't beat that.

Anyway, didn't mean to go off topic. I will report back once I have some kind of update, resolution, etc. to my VB order.

Cheers!

Just recieved my SS VAMO from VB today..

Ordered 3/20 didn't ship till 3/28 and hit Portland at 5am this morning.. USPS did a late 2nd delivery to my house at 6pm.

Just so everyone knows.. OPENING as the 17track or sao.cn site means it is on its way NOT that customs is opening the package or anything like I've seen discused in here.. it is the last thing you see before it hits stateside..

I also ordered a Nova, a Mini DID Clone and some ego cases.. The Nova came with the tube together upside down.. no bother.. the did clone is great and the ego cases are a steal at 2.50 each.. these look like the medium size cases - bigger than my small case and these things normally go for $10 or more state side...

I am happy.. I wouldn't order anything if from them if I really needed it, but if they get the SS back in stock I might order another to have as a backup.. You can't beat the $35 (with shipping) price anywhere and to get some other bits and pieces that are much cheaper than stateside like ego 510 adapters - $1 vs $4 or $5 stateside...

The reason why FastTech and HealthCabin arrive in 7-10 days is that they ship out of Hong Kong.. vs VaporBreak the ships out of Beijing.. I hear packages always sit in Beijing waiting for a slot to ship and that they are always backup up from there

Glad to hear you got everything ok. Put a magnet to your ss vamo and see if it sticks (battery out of course) if it sticks it's ss if not probably coated brass. Actually just did this test with my ss vamo from vaporbreak and guess what the magnet does not stick, what a surprise! Oh well at least it works. Wow they took me good figuring in the dead vamo they sent me. Live and learn as they say.

The magnet should not stick to SS. The magnet should stick to chrome. This has been reported in this thread by several Vamo owners.

I believe 316 and 304 Stainless Steel is NOT magnetic.

Google a little and you'll find that SS is not necessarily magnetic...

Is Stainless Steel Magnetic? (with pictures)

One guy in the comments said that he could only find one SS thing in his house that would attract a magnet. Adding nickel turns SS into not being magnetic and it is probably cheaper so I would actually think that these SS units would not attract a magnet.

The weight tells me that it is probably SS and not brass, but I guess I'll find out in a month or two when I get some scratches

I know you got screwed but give these guys a rest.. You have made your point, move on. There are many others that are perfectly happy with their purchase.

Thanks, many are happy as you say and I'll leave it at that. Since you are new here please have some respect for others that have been here longer than your few days here. BTW don't tell me to move on, I'll do that at my own discretion.

Yep, my order spent most of its travel time sitting in Beijing waiting to get on a plane to the USA. Expecting orders that ship out of mainland China to arrive in a timely fashion is setting yourself up for grief and disappointment. Even with EMS it can take forever to get on a plane. It can disappear in Customs for weeks. It can get lost at any point in the shipment process and take weeks to find. Don't order direct from mainland China if you're not up for a very long wait, even with EMS. Mainland China is not the same as Hong Kong with regard to shipping.

Update: I finally got a response from vaporbreak (five days after submitting my message.) They want a picture of the vamo with the cross-threaded bottom cap and a video of the vamo with the bad 510 connector.

Just got my kit and after a little tinkering (and advice), I have it hitting like a tank! I really like the C4 atomizers that came with the kit. Can anybody here recommend a good, inexpensive place to buy more and to buy wicks? This is my first atty and I seem to remember you can eventually replace the wick part. Thanks.

There are literally a dozen different heads for Stardust type clearo's. You will need to start searching and match up the correct design/height - everything to get the correct one.
Been there, done that, even ordering from the same vender - got it wrong.

True. I just redo the coils and wicks on mine. It is easy to do and costs very little.
