Vamo issue

hello i bought my first vamo a few weeks ago and i gave it some time but i am very disappointed. Compared to my egos, no matter what carto i attach to it i taste nothing especially with my rebuildable. The only way i can get a throte hit is when the watts are way high and its because the vape it too hot, i attach my CE5s on it and i get no satasfaction but as soon as i put it on my ego twists i get great flavor and throte hit. I just want to know am i doing anything wrong or is this a bad mod?

Sounds like you are still in the learning stages.
Does not matter what ohm your coil is reading, if it isn't wicking well, coil firing smoothly and making proper contact to the wick and the air flow proper - things will just be wrong.
You may be able to replicate your new coil, a bit lower ohms now and get the output you are looking for.
I just went 3 rounds with one of my AGA-T's before realizing the air hole was partially deformed(reducing air flow) Tank put off great vapor until I put the top on and tried to Vape. Little vapor and no taste. One drill bit later :D it is acting like a choo-choo:vapor:

Just goes to show, it isn't always the power or the coil at fault.

I've got or had two vamo's. One got trashed at 3 months old. The other just sits there. The circut board seems to be a piece of junk.
Sit's back and let the rants begain.
I've got two Tesla's and like them a whole lot more than the vamo. IMHO. (sorry vamo fans).

I feel to each their own. If I like mechanicals but dont like anything else I have no need to hate on them because there are people who love them. I have a vamo which I use for cartos or dripping attys that you buy and it works great. I have mechanicals for rebuildable genesis style attys and love those too. Im not gonna hate on anything, what works for you is the right choice.... no matter what anyone says.

I'm sorry. I'm not hating on any device. Just stating my own personal experience with the vamo. Actually the Tesla uses the same type of PWM that the vamo does when it's in mod NO2. I've just seen enough of them that I don't believe they should have been made with press fit parts. Should have been one single tube and then the extension for the 18650. I liked the idea of haveing the choice of lengths but even in the 18350 mode it's still really long. And also like I said,"IMHO".
I also really like and often use a purely mechanical mod. Along with several different types.

If you like the tesla better thats great, i dont have one dont like the look of it, and thats my opinion, all im saying is why do people hate on anything, if you dont like something no need to hate on it i dont like the look of the tesla you do thats what is cool if it works for you and you are happy that all that matters,
sorry to take the thread over im just tired of all of the posts of people hating on this or that, if it works for you and youre happy with it thats what matters.

every device has a purpose somewhere, even the ones that went horribly wrong because they led to new ideas and better improvements which will keep vaping moving forward.

WOW, I wasn't liking mine either, played with all kinds of settings, cooking Boba's in a two hole Boge carto, I just did exactly what you said and I am ALL nicked out. I just got about 6 or 8 GREAT hits in a row.

Whew, let me just put this thing down for a bit....

What settings are the Vamo set to? Turn on NO2, set it to VW and crank it to 8watts.

Rms should be default, or even the only choice. Some vendor sites are clear on this and how to change them, others are not.

This was my first mod and people talked me out of buying the Tesa which i was going to buy instead of the vamo i love the design but i could not get one person to give me a review on a tesla cause no one had them i may just buy one now since your the first person that used it and said it was good

Yes still in the learning stages for RBY i tweeked the coil a bit and folded the wick together and wrapped a coil around it pulling at 2.ohms MUCH better vaper and throte hit now this is what it looks like
