The Vamo is sold under different names, but we have mostly all settled with calling it the Vamo. It's also called the eGo APV, the eGo Bamboo, The Eagle, the Etna, and the Vision Variable Volt Mod.
It is so stupid for all the vendors to give the device their own name. Like we are so stupid that we won't realize they are all the same device.
Li-Mn IMR batteries are recommended. Those are a type of lithium battery. What's not recommended are unprotected Li-ion batteries. Also protected batteries don't do well in pvs like the Vamo because the protection circuits can get tripped.

There is a learning curve with the batteries. Thats because the vamo is 
very changeable with the batteries. You have a choices.
1 18650 flat top type.
1 18650 button type.
1 18350 flat top type.
1 18350 button type.
2 18350 flat top type.
I havn't heard of anyone useing one 18350 flat top with one 18350 button type, but don't see a reason why it won't work.
Pluse all batteries mAH could be different, though this would effect how long you could use them and time it would take to recharge them.
You can do a lot with Vamo when it comes to the batteries.
I was thinking, if you have a hard time closeing the cover with two button type 18350. Would one button and one flat type give enough room to close the cover, just remember 18350 batteries should be married for life also switch them each time you use them (top to bottom).
Also I was thinging
Setting at 3 volts with 2 ohm res = 1.5 amps = 4.5 watts.
Setting at 3 watts with 2 ohm res = 2.225 amps = 2.5 volts
So if you use the 2.5 volt setting your battery will last longer when you vape.
Of cause your juice has to taset good to you. But just a thought to pass on.
But if you use the three watt setting.
Looks to me there's a lot of ways to try to make batteries last longer when vaping.
That's also part of the learning curve!

Just wanted to share my experience:
My Vamo was getting excessively hot at the end cap, and upon inspection the spring was "make you holler OW" hot (experienced this with both the tiny spring and the larger one). I removed the ?copper, brass, something else copper/brass colored? spring from my Omega and installed it in the Vamo and the heat is gone. Problem seems to be solved and it's vaping perfectly.
Just wanted to put this here for anyone else who may be experiencing this.

Is that an SS version Meli?
Nah! Sadly my Vamo is Chrome, the Aga-T is SS with ss center post from vapegear.co.uk, £12.99 + 3.50 recorded pp. Not very obvious in photo but there is a metal contrast between them, the Aga would look much smexier on an SS Vamo.
Funnily enough, the chrome that I have matches really well - £12.99 for the Tiamat is a bloody good price.
Pity I can't rebuild coils for brown stuff!
I dunno yet, seems my nightmare is about to start.
Todd shares some good tips for the Aga-S in his video, can't be all that different for the T. can it?
