Had a slight hiccup with the Vamo today. When I pressed the right button to check the resistance the display did not work.

My immediate reaction was ... ,,,, after a month this mod is already toast? I took a deep breath, removed the batts and powered on.

Checked voltage, okay. Set wattage, okay. Checked resistance, failed.

After fiddling around with it for a few minutes, it appears that the button was not making the proper contact to engage the resistance reading.

Just a glitch as the plastic button has been working okay for the better part of the day.

I hope this is not an indication of what is coming down the pipe ...

Gstavrev, you won't get anywhere with VB if you email them, in my experience they don't respond. You get better results if you contact them using Chat or so I have read, not my own experience.
Sometimes and to VB's defense the Customs Authority in China will hold mail for weeks, they just do, and there is nothing VB can do to change that, also once it has cleared Chinese Customs they don't update 'till days later. I expect you'll receive your Vamo in the next few days, nothing helps the anxiety of waiting.. sorry, only to say you will get it, just when is the Big question.

To chat with VaporBreak owner Min you need to try around 9:00 a.m. PST. He seems to be keeping a sleeping schedule to coordinate with the Western U.S.A. I have chatted with him many times and on chat he is easy to deal with. Email is another story and I think they never get responded to.

China Airmail can be hit and miss. My brother and I (unbeknownst to each other) both ordered a Vamo from VB the same evening. Mine came eight days after I ordered (five days after it got scanned departed from China). My brother's still has not arrived in our country. By the tracking it showed departed from China twice (the scans were five days apart). It looks like his got delayed in China for some reason and mine got here super fast. Since the last scan it has been ten days (in transit 16 days so far). Hopefully it will show up soon. If not he needs to chat with VB about it.

How long? I ordered mine on 12/18 and still showing "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment". Patience, just losing it!

That is what it says when the package has its final scan in the origin country. It means it should have departed China and enroute to your country. Hopefully, you will get it soon. Regular airmail ackages from China to the U.S. usually take two to three weeks (and can take up to a month) before they start scanning in the U.S. For registered mail the U.S.P.S. won't show any scans until it is at the final sorting center that serves your delivery post office. Once it scans in the U.S. you should have it within two to three days, if not sooner. Yours has only been 11 days since you ordered. Expect to wait about two more weeks to receive it. Plus, it is the Holiday season and mail volume is much higher than normal and mail takes longer than normal to be delivered this time of year.

Thanks for the explanation Jackbox! I'm used to US shipping where tracking shows changes daily unless it is lost. Sure appreciate the explanation as it is the first time I have ordered from China. If it gets here the pricing is worth it! :)

I have stuff going both ways between the U.S. and Asia. Unfortunately, tracking is not as detailed as U.S. domestic shipments. China is especially slow because I think U.S. customs considers them a suspect country due to product counterfeiting and packages from China are subject to more scrutiny and take longer to clear customs than from other countries. Also, China has limited airlift capacity contracted for international mail. When the contracted space is full the mail backs up. During this time of year a package may sit longer in China than normal waiting to get on a plane. They are cheap and won't pay for extra carriage above their contracted space. It is common during this time of year that packages take longer to leave China, unfortunately.
