Hey all,

Posting this in the Vamo forum (since that's what I currently rock), and hoping that from the fine minds up in here that I may be able to figure out what's going on.

Have had my Vamo V2 for about 5 months now (give or take), and up until recently, I was just loving it. Great vapor production, good (enough) battery life, and great flavor with all my tanks (PT 1, PT II, Evods & the occasional old T2 or Mini Vivi Nova). But recently - let's say in the past month or so - nothing is tasting or working light I had gotten used to. It's a tossup between burnt flavor or no flavor (or at the very least, not the flavor I'm expecting.

To clear the air: I always ensure the Vamo is in N02 mode, so it's not that. I've been through about 3 different 5-packs of new coils (been using 2.5s) on the PTs and the Evods, and have even tried some low-rent rebuilding with cotton.

The juices I know and love (Boba's Bounty, Vaperite VR4, N101, etc.) all used to give me the flavors they're known for, but now, they all taste dead and the same. No yummy graham in the Boba's, none of the caramel sweetness in the VR4, and the N101 fights like a champ, but even it is severely muted these days.

I don't know what's going on here. I did switch down from 18mg to 12mg nic around when this all started, but I wouldn't think the level of nicotine would impact flavor to such a large degree - would it? And like I've said, I've switched out heads so often it's like my job.

Which makes me wonder if something could be amiss with the Vamo itself. The ohm reader reads correctly, not getting any of the 9.9 errors or anything, and - as far as I can tell - the N02 mode is working right (I think - the N01 mode does give me the nastiness it always did. I'd switched into it purposely to see if somehow maybe the Vamo was swapping them).

I'm sort of at my wits end here. I've ordered a Davide BDC glassomizer, and plan on getting an iClear 30s, but if that doesn't fix the problem, I'm leaning toward an SVD to see if it's the mod itself.

All that said (and I know it's been long), anyone out there have any ideas why this would be happening?

Are your batteries maybe playing out on you? Can't think of anything that the Vamo could do to change taste. I would suggest using some completely different juice for a few days and then come back to your ADV. Sounds more like your taste buds are just tired of what you've been vaping.
I've got the SVD also and I don't think that will cure your problem.

Have you run into a bout of vaper's tongue yet? If all your hardware is the same, and the only thing you did was drop your nic level by 6 mg, it sounds like it may be you more than the hardware. Clearos have a known general issue of not producing the most intense flavor level. Combine that with a loss of taste sensation and there you go.

Can you taste much of anything at all in your current flavors? Or has it all pretty much gone tasteless?

Try something with a really strong flavoring that may be out of bounds for you and see what you get. Something like a cinnamon red hots, menthol or one of the "ice" mints and see what you get.

If the Vamo is producing vapor I don't think the problem is with the Vamo or the clearos.

Was my first thought too is vapors tongue. I've gone through it twice. If your vaping desserts try something fruity instead or vice versa. I ODed on caramel flavors it took a while before I could taste most juices with a strong caramel base.

Try a 510 Atty if you have that. Not much mechanics in my opinion for those.

Good luck!

It's not the electrical production device that limits the flavor...its the head/coil device

If you are using PT II or EVOD coils..try this method
How to prevent Kanger T3 and eVod gurgling and leakingSun-Vapers.com

I use a rolled up piece of cotton rather than the silicate flavor wick, the vape is incredible...if you have vapers tongue drink alot more water!

What wattage are you vaping at?

Sounds like vapors tongue to me also. I also like boba's bounty and for awhile I wasn't enjoying it like I once was. I put it aside and started vaping mainly fruity flavors because that is all that tasted decent at the time. After a couple weeks of using hype, fruit stripe gum etc I went back and tried bobas. Tasted like I remembered it.

Back to close this out. After much (MUCH) trial and error (mostly error), I went ahead and ordered an SVD. Which has solved the problem (so far).

My biggest clue that it was the Vamo (which I think was just randomly firing at different wattage/voltage/whatever) was when I switched back to an old Spinner, and found the flavors there.

In any case, just so anyone else who may be experiencing something similar comes along this old thread: from my experience, your "electrical production device" can indeed limit/change/burn the flavor - if it's gone rogue.
