Just got my Vamo v3 in the mail today and couldn't be happier with my choice!!!

Vamo v3 in gun metal.
x2 Efest 18650 2250 mah.
Efest Bio v2 charger.

Feels kinda heavy...very well built...no battery rattle. Doesn't at all feel fragile!

Literally had my Vamo v3 for about 5 hours! And getting a Low Load across my screen! I found the thread here on how to fix it. Just don't know if I'm willing to go through that ain't even had it 24 hours now.

VAMO OHM Error FIX! t1

The V3 doesn't suffer the same center pin problem that the V2 sometimes had. If your device is complaining about the atomizer resistance, chances are that it either has a short circuit or the coil is popped and no longer usable. Try another atomizer and see if it resolves the problem. If your atomizer allows you to replace the coil/head (Evod, Protank, other bottom coil types; CE*, Vivi Nova, other top coil types) try swapping it out.

Vamo V3 has sure a very weak center pin, I have owned my Vamo V3 for three weeks and I already got center pin issues.
I tried hard not to over tighten but the threads are not the best either so you have to thread it down a bit to not get the atomizer wiggling.

If using a pro tank it's best to use it with a beauty ring to help it get more stiff on.
EVOD's is sure center pin killers as well.

The seal is very weak and soft and the center pin only rest with about 0.5mm/0.02inches edges around the seal.
the head itself is only about 0.8mm/0.03inches high above the seal.
So the center pin is easily pushed down into the seal.

I changed my center pin to a center pin from a Vape Only BCC head, and used the grommet seal from an EVOD head.
Tried first with the seal from the Vape Only BCC head, but it was to soft as well.
See earlier post in this thread, where I included a photo.
Since I changed I have no issues anymore.

But I don't think it should have a short circuit this early unless the seal is broken.
I think more that the lead to the center pin is broken and touching the base.

My issue started after using my t3s. After replacing the o ring everything works just fine. Still had the same Low Load issue but as far as I can tell mine happens after using an Ego threaded clearo.

I love the V3, but two things weren't "perfect": the chrome finish where I grip it was turned a bit chalky. The printed circuit board has shifted. It wasn't making contact with my flat top batteries. Button tops worked every time. I used needle noze pliers and gently pulled the board contact pin a little, haven't had an issue since. Bought that one from vapor beast ($85.00/full kit), #2 on its way from fasttech ($32.00/unit and 2" attachment only). I too immediately bought the nitecore charger ($22.00). That cheap kit charger is not recommended by ECF contributors.

Here's a pic. of the circuit board. The positive battery side makes direct contact with the pin, which is soldered to the board

Im actually thinking of getting a kit from fasttech myself.

Vamo V3 Variable Voltage Mod E-Cigarette Battery Compartment Kit
with Nitecore I2 US battery charger/charger cable/2*Sony 18650 batteries

This is a better choice since the charge and batteries are a decent brand correct?

I got the cheaper kit for my first mod, and while I'm pleased with it... the CE4 knock-offs it comes with are total garbage. The charger's never given me problems, though it does seem kinda dodgy. The batteries in the cheaper kit are fine. Depending on what you vape, the math says dual 18350's are more versatile.

I'd probably drop the extra 8 bucks or whatever it is and then pick up some 18350's the next time someplace has them for a really good price.

I would recommend the stainless steel version instead.(Chrome version's finish will wear out and it is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. SS feels a bit more durable too.) https://www.fasttech.com/products/1395801
And yes, the batteries and charger are decent.

well i have my own tanks to use (Kanger Protank 2 and 3-4 T3S's)

So im not really worried about the Ce4.

Im going to get the kit with just the vamo, 2x 18650 Sony batterys and a i2 charger.

Hi I got this kit in Stainless Steel and I love it.
But I did get 2x Panasonic CGR18650CH instead of the Sony one's, guess they where out of Sony's.
But that's decent batteries as well.
I also recommend the Stainless Steel version.

The charger i2, is great but you get the first version of it and I have heard a lot of heat problems and destroyed batteries with that one if you run it in 110-220v mode.
So use a 12v power adapter with it instead and you are safe.
Mine got hot and blew the first day I used it and is only working in 12v mode now. But it's working perfect in 12v mode charge my batteries in about 4h.

See this thread mention about the problem.

Panasonic batteries are actually better than Sony batteries, from my testing experience. I have the Vamo V3, in chrome, I ordered it as the kit from Fasttech with two panasonic grey 18650 2250mah batteries, and a nitecore I2 Intellicharger. The only thing I regret is that Stainless wasn't an option yet. Avoid the chrome and get stainless. The chrome is very thin and scratches and rubs off very easily.

This is the Link for the kit that has the Sony Batteries. I think they ran out of the Panasonic batteries.
