I'd like to find a stainless steel Vamo ... what's the best price, and where?

I third this request :) My Black Chrome is, I believe, starting to show the signs of wear that others have had.

I try to keep her clean and have never dropped her but I'm thinking just daily use and the occational juice left on her is helping promote that wear. if it gets bad I'll just clean her up with the Dremel and a SS brush and look towards a SS version and use her as backup.

She's done me well this far, good 'ol gal..

I currently have the chrome one and i'm looking to get the stainless steal version everyone is talking about in this thread. Can you guys hook me up with the places you ordered them from? i just need the body, no batteries or charger.

Also, i've seen some called the v3 or SS model that have plastic buttons... what's that all about? Is the plastic buttons the old version, or does the SS come with plastic ones?
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vamo/366024-vamo-sales-thread.html The Vamo comes with metal or plastic buttons, it's an option the manufacturer offers. However, if you get one with metal buttons, it is guaranteed to be a V2 Vamo.

Yea, that's what I'm looking for as well. Kinda wanna find a place that has then without the different machine marks on the extension as well

You won't find them without the machine marks. However, they are not noticeable from more than a foot away, and can be buffed or polished out if you are OCD about that sort of thing. On mine they are not easily visible and can only be felt with the edge of a fingernail.

Just bought an SS Vamo v2 @ smoktek ... the owner called me and said they haven't received the replacement springs from the factory yet, but that they would be providing them free of charge to current Vamo purchasers when they come in.

Good to know! Bought a VAMO off them a month or so ago and while I've come up with my own fix (box full of SS compression springs @ Home Depot) having spares is always good :)

Wish you'd posted this earlier, I was at Home Depot earlier today and didn't even think of looking for springs.

Ha! Sorry.. Here's the link.. This one just says Zinc plated but they did have some SS ones in there which is what I used.

Found a nice one that fits and cut it short, rounded off the edges and she plops in just fine. Good contact and no issues thus far with extra resistance or heat.

Actually just yesterday I've came across the real Vamo V3 but didn't bookmark it, Sorry. Apparently it can do 18W with 2x 18350, can't be split to shorter single 18350 and the body looks similar but has rings around kind of like a bamboo. But off course it could be some Vamo knock off. I'm not rushing to get it, the original Vamo is probably the best mod ever made all around price included.

I hate it; that's all that needs to be said. Sucks that I probably will end up buying another V2 or just hope the V4 will be similar to the V2 except with better aesthetics.

They could've kept all the same features, especially the ease of going from an 18650 to an 18350 which I don't see on the V3, maybe shorten the size a bit, make it so that the battery cap screws on a bit smoother, maybe a better looking screen without the white border, rubberized texture on the battery tube option, and add some cool grooves or engravings at the top and battery cap.

I love my SS V2, it's just damn perfect for the exception of not being able to flush mount anything to the top. The V3 looks like a step backwards and just as hideous as the Tesla. I just wont plain buy it because I can run in single 18350 mode. This is where I think we will see the SVD take over the market for mid range VV/VW mods unless the do something wit the V3 chrome plated worm screw. Can't wait to see Phil review it.
