I just started vaping and only have used an itaste LEO iclear 30. Now I'm looking for a mod I like what i see with the Vamo V5 And V6 just have a few questions about them. will they work with my iclear 30 (2.1 ohm) and can they be charge as stand alone or will I have to remove the battery to charge and I would like any info on battery options

Welcome! The Vamos are 510/eGo threaded. Your iClear 30 should work (and look) just fine. I recently got a Sigelei Zmax V3 which is a similar tube mod. I just ordered a Vamo V6 (for no real well-understood reason other than it was on sale from rockbottomvapes). You'll need batteries and charger for any of them. The Zmax can run with four battery configurations (1-18650, 1-18490/500, 1-18350, or 2-18350 stacked.) The Vamos run all but the 18490/500 configuration. With the Vamos, if you run the 1-18350 configuration, you have to remove a section of the tube. The Zmax is "telescoping" to the extent that you merely screw it together without removing a section. That was one thing I liked about that design. Neither the Vamos nor the Zmax will fire below 1-1.2 ohms (which is fine with me) I'm running Nautiluses and Protank 2 around 1.8 ohms.

Read the Batteries and Safety section found under the APV area. If you go this route, get GOOD batteries and a GOOD charger. Look for a user named Baditude and take a gander at some of his blogs. He identifies a number of good (safe) battery options.

P.S. The Zmax is VV/VW up to 15W. The Vamo V5 is VV/VW up to 15W; the V6 is only VW up to 20W (I think.)
