I cannot answer this question, I do not currently own a Vamo.
It does appear to be quite a bit different than the earlier ones.

Also I only paid 31.43 thru focalecig with a coupon from vaping cheap (FCVAPINGCHEAP).

So, for that price with the improvements, a stainless body, screw - no glue, with 25 watts...what the heck !

Wool!! I was just looking to upgrade from the ego's I have too and was looking at the Sigelei Legend v2 or Vamp v5 as I didn't want to spend too much. Of course neither of these fire a sub-ohm coil or go above 15 w. I don't use sub-ohm coils at all or desire to do so much, but wanted to have a future proof device just in case. What you just posted puts it at the top of my choice list.

BUT... how do you get it so cheap? I just went to focalecig and used the coupon and it comes to 45.08 (not that that's bad either) with the regular price being 50.09. Was the price cheaper when you ordered it? Also, do you know how long they usually take to get stuff to the US if you've ordered stuff from them before?

Thanks!

Edit**. I see why there was the price difference. I selected the 35w model! lol

Looks like they got rid of that press fit below the circuitry that failed for everybody I knew that had one, kudos to Vamo...

Still, too little too late for me.... I wasted my money for worse though...

I have not ordered from them before, the shipping is free and may not be the fastest.

That's what I was thinking also. I see they have a few paid options that I'm willing to pay for since it comes out to such a good price with discount. But, it doesn't explain what they are or give estimated timeframes on them. Any ideas on the other options? I'm thinking of ordering from this place VAMO V8 25W Variable Wattage APV Mod as they have a registered airmail for only 3.99 and it says you should get it in 8-15 days. The price is a little more, but it'd be worth the price difference if I get it 10-14 days faster. lol

I will post here when I get it. I do believe others here have ordered from focal ecig, there is a thread about them.
Remember that both vendors are from China, so as a general rule...don't be in a rush if you are ordering from China.

Sounds good and you are right with stuff coming over from China. I did contact focalecig through live chat last night and they said the EMS/EUB-US free option should get it to you within 7-15 days. So, that's not too bad.

Thanks for that, my friend ! :) Well, that is certainly better than any other of my china shipments to date.
If they do that consistently they will make quite a name for themselves.

No problem at all! Figured I'd put in some leg work since I'm asking you so many questions :) So, now I'm torn between ordering a Sigelei Legend v2 and the Vamo v8. The vamo of course offers higher wattage, which will be nice if needed. Great design, but now doesn't have the option for one 18350 to make it shorter. Its a huge device from the dimensions Ive seen. I compared it to my Tesla Sidewinder 2 which is so long its ridiculous and the Vamo is a few mm's longer. The Sigelei is still shorter in it's longest form, but only goes up to 15 watts and wont support any lower coil than 1.2. Not saying that's a deal breaker though.

My Review:

I received this from Focalecigs in 9 days, it was ordered on the 18th of October and at my house by the 27th. That is quick shipping from China.
The package was a padded envelope with a wrapped Vamo box inside, it arrived in excellent condition.

The box was entitled VAM0 25 and inside there was a QC certificate and a basic Owner's Manual that is for both the 25 and 35 watt models.
They manual was clear and well printed. The Vamo was additionally wrapped as it sat inside the padded box with a precision cutout for the device.
The unboxing was easy and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality thus far.

I unpacked it and closely looked at the machining of this solid stainless steel mod. It comes in 4 pieces, the top cap, the head, battery tube and endcap. The weight was solid and with the battery and tank has a heft that denotes quality. The grooves, recessed dots and threads were all done with a precision not usually seen in a device at this price. There are no "press fits" like older inferior Vamo models.
The top cap unscrews smoothly and reveals ego cone and 510 threading along with a non floating pin surrounded by derlin. The connector has 4 air flow grooves in the shape of a plus sign on the top of the connector.
The OLED was square and straight and also flush with the surface. The buttons are clicky and just firm enough.
The endcap has a nice firm spring, smooth threading and a vent hole.

Electronics are familiar and easy to read. The window displays (at the same time) Watts, of course, but also voltage, atomizer resistance and battery level ( in 10% increments). It turns on and off with 5 clicks.

So I fired it up with a BVC coil in my Nova S tank and all worked well. I vape at about 12 watts and there was no problem at all.

All in all I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to everyone and maybe especially to the existing owners of the older Vamo models for it is much improved and a great price too.

Here is a pic with my Nova S tank....I think it looks great !

FastTech has this method of shipping it usually costs around a buck more than the free choices they offer and worth it to knock a week off in typical transit time. Small USPS packet is the best choice, usually a buck more but its limited by size and weight restrictions.

I typically get focalecig packages via the EMS shipping option in 7 days to my house in New York state.

With either company or shipping options your package can get caught up in the customs processing, easily adding a week or more to transit times.

Finally, since so much cheap Xmas stuff comes from China, you'll see shipping times increasing between now and year's end.

... omg.. Mindblown....
I was at the only vape shop within 50 miles of me a few weeks ago and the guy was ranting and raving about the V5, like it was the latest and greatest thing but he wanted over $70 for one in his shop. I went online a few days later and found one for less then $30 with free shipping (with orders over $60) 9 days later I got a little box straight from China. I was stoked. Like I kid with a giant lollipop I haven't put the thing down sence....... But now I see the V8! Damn man I feel like I've been dooped. I know I'm a noob but now I feel like a total boob.
